Isn't this an old quote? A very old quote?

Probably sounds better with the open hole.

What I was most surprised to hear is that the label is pushing "Rock and Roll Train" to CHR (Top 40) radio. I should be too surprised - labels have done this sort of thing before - I just have a hard time imagining a DJ saying "That was the Jonas Bros, and this is ACDC".

Yeah... I thought he said that after "Ballbreaker"

FTA: This is no news. Which makes it good news to Shihad, the Hoodoo Gurus, Angry Anderson and dozens of other Australian artists queuing to play AC/DC: We Salute You, a 51/2-hour tribute concert at the Adelaide International Guitar Festival on December 7.

Article fails.

Just came in here to say AC/DC farkin' rocks!

The correct quote is:

"I'm sick to death of people saying we've made 11 albums that sounds exactly the same, Infact, we've made 12 albums that sound exactly the same."

Made a long time ago. He may realize how popular this quote is with fans, and retell it in different ways or something.

In the interviews I've read with Malcolm, that's how he always explains it. Took the neck pickup out for whatever reason and decided he liked the sound better without it.

Outtaphase: He may realize how popular this quote is with fans, and retell it in different ways or something.

Well, it does still apply.

Ever heard a song by Hoodoo Gurus called "Big Deal"?

It was from a record called "In Blue Cave"

It is so heavy and awesome.
I swear to God!
It has super heavy sludgy riffage on par with Kyuss or Fu Mnachu.

Hoodoo Gurus were a sort of jangly 60s pop type rock band but "Big Deal" sounds like a stoner rock song.

I admit a lot of their stuff sounds like one song but dammit, I like that song!

carmody 2008-10-10 09:30:54 PM
One of my old guitars ended up in the hands of the Hoodoo Gurus. If you ever see those dudes with a Danelectro Bellzouki 12-string from the '60s...it was mine once. Shoulda kept it.

Be nice. Angus may not remember he said it either.

I like it. "Waking Up Tired" is my favourite though.

at least he admits it

they suck in a never-change or grow or surprise
kinda way

/sucked in the seventies
//suckin on down the road

rudemix 2008-10-11 02:59:28 AM
It wasn't the same album 16 times. It was a few kick ass albums with Bon Scott and then a bunch of dogshiat.

Let's face it,
even AC/DC's bad boring stuff
is better than many's best stuff.

There's a reason they've been around since '73
and still rockin'

Propain_az 2008-10-11 01:40:41 PM
Black Ice is going to bury Death Magnetic.

\Metallica should take a lesson from AC/DC

schatzie 2008-10-11 04:42:42 PM
I don't remember if it was Brian Johnson or Angus who, when asked what was the biggest difference between any of their albums, replied: the cover artwork. I always like that.

TailsAndy 2008-10-11 10:32:41 PM
Someone tell me Fly on the Wall sounds anything like any other AC/DC album, and I'll laugh my dick off.

Walkenstein 2008-10-13 12:31:43 AM
people that claim such a thing= don't know anything about actual music and/or don't know how to play an instrument and/or have no idea wtf they are talking about

Philistines usually can't tell the difference between 4 different riffs that contain the same 5 notes and are played at the same tempo

The_Sponge [TotalFark] 2008-10-13 06:06:53 PM
I'm going to see them at the Tacoma Dome on Nov. 30th.

/Fark yeah.
//Saw them perform there back in '96.
