"Look, we don't care about an old, washed-up terrorist," McCain told an impassioned crowd of 3,000 in Wisconsin.

And we don't care about an old, washed-up politician.

Bye John.

Thread over.

This is why all the sane people have left the Republican party, or, at the very least, are keeping their Goddamn mouths shut. This is ridiculous. I railed against Kerry and the Democrats in 2004 because the best they could do was go "LOOK OMFG HE'S NOT BUSH!"

This is even worse. And from one person I thought had a shred of farking digity and honor left.

thatvoiceguy 2008-10-10 01:08:33 PM
McCain says: "Look, we don't care about an old, washed-up terrorist".

Audience hears: bzzz, bzz bzz bzzz bzzzz bz old, washed-up tzzbrrzz".

You'd think someone who's been in politics this long would have received some media training.

But McCain does care enough to drop his name every .3 seconds in a lame attempt to deflect attention from the fact that he's got nothin'..

Bloody William 2008-10-10 01:13:09 PM
So the Weathermen bombed the house of a judge who ruled against the Black Panthers.

Spike Lee must be pissed as yet another role perfect for some black guys goes to a bunch of crackers.

/Don't exactly believe him
//It's the amazing terrorism story that changes 30 years after it happens!

No shiat...like when Palin said she'd been listening to Biden since she was in the second grade. Uh, Gov. Sweet-tits? Guess who's even older and been in Washington even longer?

The sheer ineptitude of McCain-Palin sends shivers down my spine.

You have to admire the shiat the GOP can pull in a presidential election and get away with it. Over and over and over and over...

This year: McCain/Palin run a campaign for people tired of Washington Insiders (McCain - 26 years in Washington) and tell us that Obama doesn't have enough experience (Palin does though, as the gov of a small town nobody gives 2 shiats about.) and American and FOX eat this shiat up...

Yep - he thinks we're ALL stupid. "We don't care about BILL AYERS and the fact that OBAMA is his best friend. We don't need to keep talking about OBAMA's best pal, Bill Ayers. The American people are more interested in the economy than Bill Ayers, who as you know is Obama's half-brother."

To be fair, the GOP mentioned Sadaam every single time they talked about Al Qaeda then after the American Idiots all thought Sadaam was behind 9/11 Bush and Co. claimed to have never said that...

Now I'm wondering, was Bill Ayers really involved in that bombing or not?

I've never even heard of the guy before any of this came out.

Psychotropic 2008-10-10 01:36:04 PM
John Murtagh is a disgusting scumbag liar.

His story about the Weather Underground being responsible for firebombing his family's home in retaliation for his father presiding over the trial of members of the Black Panthers is a complete fabrication.

He made this story up in April 2008 for the sole reason of smearing Barack Obama's campaign.

Re "Politics of Attack" (editorial, Oct. 8) and "Obama and '60s Bomber: A Look Into Crossed Paths" (front page, Oct. 4):

As the lead federal prosecutor of the Weathermen in the 1970s (I was then chief of the criminal division in the Eastern District of Michigan and took over the Weathermen prosecution in 1972), I am amazed and outraged that Senator Barack Obama is being linked to William Ayers's terrorist activities 40 years ago when Mr. Obama was, as he has noted, just a child.

Although I dearly wanted to obtain convictions against all the Weathermen, including Bill Ayers, I am very pleased to learn that he has become a responsible citizen.

Because Senator Obama recently served on a board of a charitable organization with Mr. Ayers cannot possibly link the senator to acts perpetrated by Mr. Ayers so many years ago.

I do take issue with the statement in your news article that the Weathermen indictment was dismissed because of "prosecutorial misconduct." It was dismissed because of illegal activities, including wiretaps, break-ins and mail interceptions, initiated by John N. Mitchell, attorney general at that time, and W. Mark Felt, an F.B.I. assistant director.

How farking nasty is this shiat going to be in another week? in another two weeks? Right before the election?

There will be the dropping of the N-word and attempts on Obama's life.

The Republican scum of America will show their true colors. The only decent Republicans have jumped off the sinking McCain/Palin ship.

These next few weeks could be the dirtiest ever in American politics, all of it coming from the Right.

Hey, have some faith in your fellow Americans. They're the ones giving Obama a ten point lead. And who'd have thought we'd see the day where "the most liberal member of the Senate", a secret Muslim shady Chicago politician, was on the verge of winning NC and VA?

McCain keeps tossing up one Hail Mary after another. Each one has been getting intercepted and returned for a touchdown. No reason to think this will be any different.

Does McCain do ANYTHING without doing research first? Or is being a maverick basically just making sh*t up as you go along? This kind of thing didn't work for Hillary in the primaries and it won't work for McCain now.

Its getting to the point where I'm honestly feeling pity for mccain in the same way I did for hillary.

Their whole lives they worked to get to this point. Played the DC game. Took their lumps. Delt with the personal attacks and learned how to attack back.

Then...everything starts slipping away. Its like a guy who thinks his marriage is fine and comes home to find packed bags and the divorce papers laying on the table. He tries to be reasonable but once it sinks in that its really over he starts behaving more and more irratically.

And I almost feel that way about republicans. They know they've been duped but they just won't let go. They want to give the party "just one more chance"
