Dear Loquaciousmitter:

I am flummoxed by the prolixity of your verbose and sesquipedalian headline.

Penis.

Oh I see, you're saying that blacks like using multi-syllabic words in lieu of intelligent discourse. How racist of you.

What a perfectly cromulent headline.

It's in your vagina (and it's more likely than you think).

/It's a beguiler/flatterer.

They've been on his jock for a while now. A magazine for educated, fashionable yuppies would support a hip, well dressed, cool guy over a crotchety old bag of bones? Unpossible!!

PartTimeBuddha 2008-10-10 02:00:35 PM
I read the article. It is rather pompous.

Darconix: Okay, so I'm about to write a nasty letter to the editor of Esquire about how I'm going to cancel my non-existent subscription. One problem, though, I think I lack the ability to ensure my point gets across.

How do you say DIAF in elite-speak? Libs? Wanna help me out here?

Did Mike Tyson write the first half of the headline?

Back when I ended up getting a year of Esquire for about $4 a couple of years back, all I could think was, "Wow...they've turned into Maxim with bigger words."

At least they're not being nubianrdly with their praise.

Pompatus 2008-10-10 02:35:42 PM
I submitted this article, so I'm not getting a kick out of these replies. And I'm not entitled to.

FWIW, there ain't no such thing as a "flummerer." I've never heard of "flummery" either, and figured that as long as I was dealing in nonexistent words (but taken straight from the story), I might as well mess with the verb tense.

Anyway, I apologize for the PDF link; I'm an infrequent smitty and failed on etiquette. Thanks for caring enough to call me on it.

I don't see what all the foofooraw is, and why everyone's having paroxysms.

If only he were inchoate. I fear he's more likely cryptic.
