+1 for the link, submitter.

Alice Cooper is awesome, and it seems to me he doesn't get the appreciation he deserves.

He goes to my uncle's church.

Love me some Alice Cooper. Saw him just a few years ago and he delivered a great show. Even played "Ballad of Dwight Frye" complete with straitjacket... and "Steven".

Just saw him live a couple weeks ago. He absolutely kicked ass, would go again in a heartbeat.

If that was the '05 tour, I saw it as well.
First time I saw him and I wasn't disappointed.

He does kick ass. I knew him back in '70 and '71, partied with him and the band (had a tremendous crush on Glen when I was 17) and sometimes drove them to their shows here. Great guy, his shows rocked. We'd actually drive around and dig stuff out of trash cans and dumpsters to use when he was on stage.

I didn't like his later stuff but the early stuff was just great, great theater.

And I always used hot rollers on his little rooster hairdo. Wish I still had pics of him with them in his hair. Doing the makeup was fun too. But his drummer, Neil Allen Smith was a real shiathead.

I saw them at a ChillerCon a few years back. Walked into the room where they were and thought to myself "the guys are supposed to be in here, but they aren't - there's only a bunch of old guys at the table". Then I looked close and wow - it was them (Alice has a new band of course, he wasn't there). They're still funny as shiat.

I'm curious if there's even someone out there who could legitimately say something bad about Alice Cooper. He even got involved in OneRedPaperclip for FSM's sake.

He should make up his mind on Manson. "I like him, but I'm going to take cheap shots at him." They're both smart guys, talented musicians, and masters of rock theater. Seems like it wasn't long ago there was that footage of Manson on stage with Alice singing Eighteen.

I saw a DVD of him in concert at a family party. Went out and bought Killer and Schools Out that week. I vaguely remember hearing Schools out before that. Was surprised that a lot of this stuff was not dumb Kiss like stuff but actually had some thought to it in arrangements. Anyways,,,,kind of a fun guy with black sense of humor. Good golfer too which makes him even more funny. He's enjoying himself. Good for him.

I know someone who went to an Alice Cooper concert, and Alice brought out a box full of puppies and said he wouldn't play until his fans killed the puppies.

And later when he came out for an encore, he handed some people in the front row a cup and told them to fill it up with spit, and he drank it.

Alice Cooper was great when it was the name of a band with Vince Furnier as the singer.

Bela Lugosi: Karloff? Sidekick? fark YOU! Karloff did not deserve to smell my shiat! That limey cocksucker can rot in Hell for all I care!
Edward D. Wood, Jr.: What happened?
Bela Lugosi: How dare that asshole bring up Karloff? You think it takes talent to do Frankenstein? It's all makeup and grunting.
[Mocks Frankenstein]
Edward D. Wood, Jr.: Bela, I agree with you 100%. Now, "Dracula," that's a role that requires talent.
Bela Lugosi: Of course. Dracula requires presence. It's all in the eyes, and the voice, and the hands...
Edward D. Wood, Jr.: [interrupting] That's right. That's right. You seem a little agitated. You wanna to go outside and get some air?
Bela Lugosi: Bullshiat! I'm ready now! Roll the camera!

/the movie is awesome

My niece said it happened at a Hannah Montana concert in Ames, Iowa. Is that what you were thinking of, maybe?

FAIL.

Didn't read the Snopes article, but that story has been attributed to Marilyn Manson, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, and Frank Sinatra.

Frank Sinatra. For him, the urban legend was actually about kittens, not puppies.

You should listen to his new one "Along came a Spider", it's the closest he's come to his 70s sound.

Coop rules.

All of the theatrical acts that have copied Alice Cooper always forget that you have to have some good songs too, just like Coop has always had.

I don't think he killed many kittens since he had babes galore around him all the time ;-)

Before any of you forget:

The moment when the universe nearly exploded from Sheer And Absolute Awesomeness.

King Diamond: "It is an honor to meet you."
Alice Cooper: "Thanks! You're one of the few guys that tried to only steal part of my act - and it didn't suck."
King Diamond: "That's the best compliment I have ever received."

/Headbanger's Ball back in the 1990's.
//Have the episode on VHS somewhere...
