Chicago would like a word with you.

I wouldn't quite say that "Troublemaker" is their best song in years. It's got a great hook, so it'll probably be a hit with the mainstream. However I would include, "Miss Sweeney" , "King", and "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived" on the list of their best songs in years.

They also broke a dodgeball record and a cream pie fight record, among others.

Really? Best song in years? It's got like 4 different notes in it!

Let me know when they give up their pursuit of the corporate shill record. Jesus christ. These guys made some decent musicoontil around 1999... Pinkerton was awesome, but it's commercial failure doomed them to having the record co pick the producer for the album they owed interscope.

You mean the same guy that produced the (awesome) Blue Album?

God Pinkerton was sooo good. Why did everything after that masterpiece have to suck sooo bad?

Waaaaahhh!

Weezer has grown as musicians and artists and I don't agree with where they've gone!

Waaaaah!

Suck it haters. If you don't like it, don't listen to it. Seriously.

I agree though, Troublemaker has a great hook and it's probably one of my favorite songs on the album.

/seen them twice
//enjoy most of the Red Album
///Yes, Pinkerton is wonderful, but there's more to them then that one album

Why always the hate for Weezer? If you don't like it, you can shove it, but you know you don't like it, you love it.
//Seeing them live in 2 weeks.
///First time - Very excited
//and you losers can't bring me down.

They're pretty damn awesome live. Definately one of the better live shows I've seen.

Especially when they start messing around on stage, just having fun with each other.

I saw them play with the Foo Fighters a few years ago, it was really amusing to watch them all switch up instruments, at one point Rivers was playing drums, Pat was playing guitar and doing vocals, and I think Scott and Brian were on their regular instruments. They did a couple of covers then they all played drums while Pat played guitar and sang.

The closest they were coming to me is Atlanta... :-\

/did see Ben Folds open for them though, he only did that in 2 cities :-D

Since they cant play a guitar for shiat, air guitar seems to be a viable option

/agree with boobies

I saw them live on their Blue Album tour. It was a small place, $1 cover charge. I almost didn't go in but figured it was worth a buck to hear the Sweater Song. Turned out to be a jaw-dropping rock show. One of my top 5 shows evar. So even thought they have released a large amount of crap since, I will still pay attention to what they do.

Pinkerton was a great ALBUM. Since then, they've had a really good song or few on each album and a lot of what sounds to me like filler.

I think a lot of people above aren't "getting" the headline... think about it for a little bit.

I think we could all agree with some boobies right now. What's your point?

/har har
//just got the headline, too. Thanks, TheAnalogKid.
///don't get me wrong, I like Weezer. I'm just so very underwhelmed with "Troublemaker".
////slashies for everyone!

weezer sucks. i never got how anyone could consider themselves "geek rock" when there is absolutely nothing geeky about them, they dont have geeky lyrics, nothing makes the music geeky.

/geek
