I went down to the station
I didn't scream or fuss
I didn't have lots of patience
Waiting for that bus
Dug deep down in my pockets
To try and find some coin
But much to my chagrin
All I found was my groin

Jesus. I can't spell if you put a gun to my head.

I'm never using a keyboard by firelight again.

"The operator inadvertently, without knowing, managed to pick up the pedestrian in the undercarriage," he said.
The damn free loader didn't even buy a ticket for the bus ride. It is karma.

Hey squashed guy: you're doing it wrong. You're supposed to surf on TOP of the bus.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it incredibly disturbing that this bus driver ran over a human being and didn't even notice?

These stickers went on all Translink buses a few months ago.

It doesn't specify the interior of the bus. The guy is lucky he didn't get tazed by transit cops for fare evoision.

Just you. Buses way a shiat load of tons. You can sideswipe cars, rip off open doors or whatever without noticing. I witnessed a nasty bus accident that I will describe below giving people a chance to not read it as it is gruesome.

I was walking to work and a lady fell onto north LaSalle Street in Chicago as a bus was approaching. She got hit and decapitated. Her head rolled to the shoulder about five feet from me. The bus kept going not noticing that anything had happened.

Isn't evoision usually used with regard to taxes? We're still sort of at the early stages of the word's existence, so we must be diligent, lest it be defined under a false context.

My friends father was a Driver for Greyhound in Chicago. Then he drove for tour bus company. He was once driving a bunch of senior citizens to a casino, when a soft top jeep was in the process of passing him. They had the top down and it was filled with filled with young gals and guys going off to do summer things.

The Jeeps tire blew out suddenly and fishtailed sideways right into the path of the bus. He had a front row seat of the last fearful look at the young men and women who knew they were going to die. At 50 MPH being broadsided by a bus, no seat belt (which they were wearing) could save them.

It wasn't the kids fault, and it wasn't my friends fathers fault. It was an accident of the tire blowing at the wrong place at the wrong time. The tires were new, the kid had a record of being a good driver. They think it was a loose chunk of asphalt or some sort of debris.

The only thing he told his wife was he saw those poor kids flying and there was nothing he could do about it.

I was visiting my friend the day it happened. His father-a man who was a Marine during Vietnam, came home deflated and didn't leave his room for three days. His wife stayed with him, coming out of the room to check on the kids grab some food for her and her husband.

In a few weeks, he back to his old self. But I am sure he went to his grave thinking about those kids at least once a day.

Spadina Bus FTW! [youtube linky, music video]

/For those who aren't Torontonians/don't get this, it's a bizarre musical tribute to the 77 Spadina bus route, since replaced by a streetcar. To me, the song represents the weird civic pride we feel for the TTC, our transit agency.

Protip: Inadvertent means unintentional. Without knowledge means without knowledge.

The bus driver unintentionally picked up the body and unknowningly dragged it. The car driver unintentionally and knowingly hit the guy.

See the difference?

In America, people would stare and raise eyebrows. In Canada, nobody bats an eyelash at this behavior.

You Canadians are odd ones.
