If it's brass, it'll be stolen again ten minutes after it's redisplayed.

Wasn't this a Tom Arnold movie?

So Farkers, just curious: what would you do if someone who had wronged you in some way, say (your age ÷ 2) years ago contacted you out of nowhere now, seeking some sort of forgiveness or resolution? This actually happened to me this week. I'm undecided on how to respond.

indylaw 2008-10-04 01:58:46 PM
So growing out of childhood selfishness and publicly acknowledging that you were insufferable, where righting wrongs where you could, makes you a dumbass?

Who knew?

That has never happened to me, so I have no idea how I'd respond... probably by completely not caring. Because I'd have stopped caring/thinking about it years ago.

/Also, I'm sorry I ran over your cat, made out with your girlfriend, and broke your arm during that motorcycle race.

Depends what is was....

Rape or molestation, I'd probably have to kill 'em for bringing it up again.

Took a garden gnome? Who cares.

Most likely the person is in a 12 step program and is trying to change their life in a positive way. How you respond doesn't matter as much as their actions in making the attempt at righting their wrongs. It probably won't affect your life no matter how you respond.

/just celebrated 7 years sober.
//9th step amends weren't nearly as difficult as I feared.

What was he doing putting pants on a fellow classmate?

/ the word you are looking for is de-pantsing, submitter

no no, BigChad, back in the day they actually put pants on people they didn't like.

You do realize you're on Fark, right?

Fark. Where people doing the right thing get insulted just as much as those doing the wrong thing, and the best part of some folks' day is pointing out grammatical errors. I love this site :)

Wasn't this an early Simpson episode. The one where Bart cut the head off a statue?

jagrmeister721 2008-10-04 08:28:40 PM
Watch, he's going to steal it again once they take it out of the vault and put it back on display. It's just a game he's playing. Then, when he's 102- his conscience will force a deathbed surprise- whereupon he'll produce the plaque and seek forgiveness.
