I'm with you there. My dad still talks about this one pizza place that I think shut down when I was four, and he's Biden's age or maybe a bit younger.

I don't think forgetting that a restaurant you recall as a good example of a local, main street establishment shut down, is a horrible gaffe. It just means you're old. I'm far more concerned about Sarah Palin saying that the surge would work in Afghanistan, which just about every person slightly familiar with Afghanistan says is completely wrong.

So, let's compare:

So he's still having a hard time dealing with his wife, his son AND Katie's Restaurant all being gone. Katie's still being around (at least in his mind) is a psychological defense.
