When you have nothing to offer that people want, you put everything into attacking the other side and trying to win that way.

Side note: Now a McCain ad blames Obama and friends for jobs going overseas? wtf? It's primarily Republican pro big business policies that have pushed more and more manufacturing jobs overseas, for better or for worse. Once again they're using the Rovian tactic of taking your negatives and claiming they are your opponent's negatives.

I seriously respect that answer. No denial of your position, no "b-b-but someone else", just a straight answer that happens to be the truth.

That shows more balls than pretty much every other so called conservative I've seen around here in a while combined.

Angry Drunk Bureaucrat likes to bring up Fark account numbers.

So do I.

19,486.

The "right choice for Fark" somehow was too busy for Farkistan back in 2002, during the tragic Weeners-for-Boobies scandal that threatened to ruin Fark forever.

19,486...241,529.

robsul82 - Tough on Concern Trolling. Made it possible to slap all facetiously independent Farkers with an easy-to-remember label that stops them dead in the tracks and reduces them to quivering balls of tearful whining.

robsul82 - Tough on The Memo. Enough said.

robsul82 - Tough on Blowhard Boston Sports Heroes. Angry Drunk Bureaucrat SAYS he loves sports, but did he begin the phenomenon of calling Curt Schilling "The Baconator?"

robsul82 has been a Fark member since 2002. 2002? Friends, I've never met robsul82 but I've been reading his posts since I was like in the second grade. It's time we had some new faces here on Fark. Can we really afford another 6 years of robsul82's failed posts and dangerous positions? These are difficult times and I believe that it would be irresponsible to have another Farker that once said that he would meet with the Something Awful members without preconditions. That is just dangerous. Just say "NO" to robsul82: it's time for a change.

Friends, you've seen jerry2a's recent slide into desperate negative ads against me. While I do find those ads reprehensible and without factual basis of any sort, I must note how interesting they are both in what they say...and what they didn't say, namely any specific plan for the future of Fark. jerry2a thinks leading Fark requires the ability to block out horrendous smells for a long period of time. jerry2a thinks the strenuous, taxing position of leading Fark into the new decade can be handled by someone with a, quote, "personal website."

I just saw a commercial by McCain a little while ago - he's sitting on the edge of a desk, and it's almost frame for frame a copy of the Obama ads, where O simply talkes about what he wants to do in Washington. Instead of that, though, McCain talks about how partisan he is (this week) and that Obama is a secret muslim.

Facts.

Angry Drunk Bureaucrat doesn't know the meaning of the word.

Time calls robsul82's campaign a "clarion call for common sense leadership." Newsweek says, "The experience we need, the change we seek? In the words of personal robsul82 hero Ellis 'Red' Redding, 'that's Goddamn right.'"

Angry Drunk Bureaucrat likes to claim to be a straight talking maverick, but is he really?

FACT - With 85% of Farkers voicing their displeasure with the Fark redesign, Angry Drunk Bureaucrat said, quote, "I could get used to this."

Backing up Jeff is NOT a maverick.

FACT - Angry Drunk Bureaucrat's whereabouts weren't only unknown during 9/11, they were unknown for the London bombings...the buildup to the Iraq War using bad intelligence...Eli Manning becoming a Super Bowl MVP...the list goes on. But he WAS, in his own words, "lurking."

Facts DO matter, and in the words of a much wiser man than I, "you have the right to your own opinion, but not your own facts."

Angry Drunk Bureaucrat seemingly doesn't agree.

I'm robsul82, and I approve this message.

It is with great regret that I am announcing the end to my Fark campaign. These last few hours have been an amazing time for me. I feel that I've reached out and touched so many Farkers, and they in turn have touched me as well - and I have the photographs to prove it. As many of you know, I am the parent of a special needs child. Just recently I found out that she needs dinner...and so I must drop out of this thread and attend to my family...because unlike people like robsul82, I always put my family first. And I don't beat my pets. Now there are many other areas where our opinions and beliefs differ, but I want to wish him the best of luck and congratulate him on a difficult and hard-fought campaign - one that I will always remember as the lowest, sleaziest, and downright disgusting ones in the history of Fark.

I will return...long live Fark, and Fark you too!

patrick767: When you have nothing to offer that people want, you put everything into attacking the other side and trying to win that way.

What's even funnier: The "overseas" ad is aimed specifically at Michigan, which they have more or less conceded anyway.

In this election, both sides will be telling you they're the right choice for Fark. They've told you about their low account numbers. They've advocated their positions. But where have they been on the issues that matter to you and to me?

I'm bobbette, and I'm not a candidate in this election. I'm just an everyday Farkette who wants to hear more about the issue we're not talking about: bacon. Our nation faces a pork spending crisis. We may be importing billions of dollars of bacon a year from countries who hate our values. Bacon from places like Australia, home of notorious basement pedo rapists, like Josef Fritzl. Ham from places like France, which claims its jambon is fancier that pork made in the good ol' U.S. of A. And we're at war in the Middle East. I don't have to remind you that some people don't share our bacon-eating values.

Be a concerned citizen. Ask your local candidate where they stand on the issues that matter to us. Your candidate may be for pancakes, but where are they on sausage? Get informed on my bacon strategy at bobbettesbaconstrategy.org.

I'm bobbette, and I approved this message.
