No wonder Michelle had that annoyed look on her face.

baorao 2008-10-03 10:47:20 AM
probably. just like he peaked too soon in the primaries, and again before the convention.

VictoryCabal [TotalFark] 2008-10-03 10:50:39 AM
Concerned Washington Times is concerned. Come on Moonies, get back to writing un-intentionally hilarious screeds accusing Obama supporters of being cultists. Do it for the lulz.

C'mon Washington Times, you know better than to criticize The Obama.

Sucka_Fish [TotalFark] 2008-10-03 10:58:41 AM
I was wondering the same thing, but I think that the timing is good. McCain got a bump after the RNC, then Obama came back up. McCain's going to get a bump after this VP debate, and then Obama's going to come back up in time for Nov. 4th.

/my woefully uneducated guess

This. Washington Times is about the same level of truthiness as WND.

Seems to be real, according to the source (pops)

No.

Nahh, the article is all about guilt by association. If you want a good example of guilt by association, see below:

img262.imageshack.usupload.wikimedia.org
Charles Keating was found guilty of fraud, racketeering, and conspiracy. One of his best buddies in the Senate was John McCain.

There's an equally big American flag that I didn't capture in the picture, so I apologize if this doesn't seem as fair and balanced as they perhaps intended the display to be.

Yeah, because anytime you have a giant farking confederate flag hanging outside your house, all you need is an American flag next to it for that to be ok.

Also, am I the only person in America that checks my spelling before I put a farking sign on my front lawn? Christ.

No, I don't think so. Obama got a huge surge in voter interest during the primaries exactly when he needed it. The high tide receded a bit and then Hillary started to gain ground, but by that time it was too late for Hillary to make a comeback.

Then, for the general election campaign, Obama surged big with his foreign trip and McCain responded like an idiot with his "Obama is so popular he's like Paris Hilton" bullshiat.

Now it's time for a general rising of the tide again, with the "looks like the GOP ticket is the empty suit and Obama is the guy with the real answers." Neither McCain nor Palin are convincing voters that they are the real agents of change, especially when it comes to matters of the economy. The Republican Party has farked itself hard right in the ass with their record of years and years of pushing for deregulation. McCain has been flopping all over the place like a fish on a dock. "I shall suspend my campaign to fly in and save our economy! Heeeeere I come to save the dayyyyyyyy!" Yeah. Real effective, there, Johnny. Next time, actually DO something instead of just SAYING that you're doing things. In the Information Age, people can find out what you're actually up to.

Anyway, in relation to the actual article, Larry Walsh is from my home town, and Will County is an important county in Illinois when it comes to politics. Anybody who is anybody in Illinois needs to know Larry Walsh, at least if you're a Democrat. So it's not surprising that Obama has known and hung out with Larry for quite a while. Larry's a good guy, and I'll be interested in seeing if any of this investigation bears anything.

I'm confused. What's peaking have to do with the FBI going through some files of some people that Obama used to play cards with that aren't presently accused with any wrongdoing?

Maybe I had too much tequila last night.

Peaked? He hasn't even begun to peak. When he peaks, you'll know it, because he's going to peak all over everyone.

Drudge's VP debate Poll is vulnerable to repeat voting

If you clear private data, cookies, etc, from FF, you can vote repeatedly on Drudge's VP poll.

Obama may have peaked, but the owner of The Washington Times has REALLY peaked:

Moon has said he is the Second Coming of Christ, the "Savior", "returning Lord", and "True Parent". He teaches that all people should become perfected like Jesus and like himself, and that as such he "appears in the world as the substantial body of God Himself."
NOW who is The One?

Cubicle Jockey 2008-10-03 01:40:35 PM
Still going up per 538, and it would have to crash as hard as it ascended for it to matter before election day. A gentle drift downward would still be enough for Obama to win at least the popular vote.

Corvus 2008-10-03 01:40:36 PM
If (ObamaLead > 4) then {
TalkingPoint = "He's peaked too soon!!!!"
} else {
TalkingPoint = "He should have a much higher lead by now!!!"
}

Gangway Fathead 2008-10-03 01:41:04 PM
Palin not imploding last night (as I knew she woudn't) is exactly what Obama supporters need to keep focused on the finish line. A lot of dems were getting complacent and cocky from the polls - last night will regalvanize and recharge the Obamarmy. And let's face it, last night was Sarah's swan song - four weeks out from the vote. Talk about peaking too soon!

captain_heroic44 2008-10-03 01:41:29 PM
Duke_Phillips: Well considering the Ayers/Rezco/Wright connections went nowhere and this seems to be about the same level of connectivity I'd have to say..... no.

But hey, who knows.

The Ayers/Rezco/Wright stuff is next in McCain's playbook. He's saving it for last to try to present it as an "October surprise." Obama's campaign will have a plan to deal with it, I trust.
