(Starpulse) Interesting The next unwarranted band to drag its sagging behind on stage yet again and pray to make it through yet another pointless tour without breaking a hip or suffer complete memory loss while performing for 20 people is: Tesla   (starpulse.com) divider line 16

Dude, did we go to high school together?? Great to hear from you man!! Did you marry that chick with the big hair or what?

Tesla managed to distinguish themselves from the rest of the hordes of hairbands out during the summer of '87 which you refer to, with good songwriting, good musicianmanship, and honest to goodness love of music. But I fear sadly that this will prove to be a heinous mid-life crisis type tour for those of us who fail to realize that the past should remain in the past.

Tesla is actually quite respected and still draws decent sized crowds. They don't have to resort to package tours. They headline theater size venues. They never did the spandex glitter hairband thing. Their songs were diverse and the members were talented. Their biggest problem has been OVER-touring. I still see em every time they come to town. Their latest live DVD is excellent even if the singer is losing his voice and starting to sound a bit Cartman-ish.

Living in the Sacramento area, we hear quite a bit. the new songs that I have heard are pretty good. Not earth shattering, but solid.

/also 37
//That 87 tour was with Def Leppard wasn't it?

I liked Tesla, and every now and again, I throw a few tracks on. But, they weren't very big. Not big if you compare them to other acts of that time frame (Ozzy, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, etc.). So I begin to wonder, for them, what's the point? Do that many people really want to see you that, over all the other bands that just wont die, they will spend their hard earned money on you? I wouldn't. I'd go see a free show, but wouldn't pay for it. Same with their music, I might go buy a greatest hits CD, but really would have little to no interest in anything they might write in the future.

Fark you subby. I like Tesla. Now will I go see them live? Uh... it depends on who else they're going with.

Tesla has been touring for a long time (Sacramento, CA band). Great sound and cutting edge music. Sorry Tesla's music doesn't fall in line with the craptacular sounds of Hinder.

Suck it Hinder. Suck it long, and suck it hard.

Gimme some Modern Day Cowboy or Edison's Medicine. Let's see the poser bands of today's music pull off the sound that Frank Hannon creates on any of Tesla's albums.

Tesla isn't that old yet, subtard.

Maybe you should go suck your thumb while you listen to your Jonas Brothers cd.

Every one of their albums has gone platinum including "Bust A Nut" which came out in 1994.
