I've listened to some of his stuff on my girlfriend's cd's and as far as I can tell it's all painfully lame easy listening with no evidence of any guitar heroics whatsoever. He's an amazingly talented guitarist, and all sorts of legendary guitarists like BB King and John Scofield, actively pursue him to play with him. I believe he studied at Julliard, but don't quote me on it. I know he went to a music school, though. As far as actual guitar, he's very, very, good.


Now, his singing and song-writing abilities are no better than the average 9th grader you'd pull out of anytown, USA. It's really sad that he gravitates towards all that gay crap that gets radio airplay, because his lyrics are inane and his guitar work suffers as he tries, and fails, to pull a decent melody out of his head.
