I'm sure Clapton will make many new fans with this already proven hit.

I love watching clapton play. So effortless.

Like Tracy Chapman too. So it's overall pretty cool. +1.

Concur... the first time I heard this I wanted to buy the CD immediately. Then I forgot.

albo: he was probably appalled at her initial rendition of a blues song that he called for an intervention

Heh heh. Really, isn't this song just a really old-school, traditional blues arrangement? Lots of repetition leaves no doubt that someone dun did me wrong?

Eric Clapton = the Celine Dion of the blues. Would somebody just kill him already... please?

Seriously, he hasn't done anything good since "From the Cradle."

I stopped listening after I wasted my money on the "Pilgrim" piece of crap. I realised it will all be either bad or rehashed blues from then on.

I can go buy blues albums by original blues artists, I don't need to make Clapton richer.

Archie Godwin : easy to be effortless when you play the same 10 pentatonic licks over and over.

Congratulations on your correct usage of the words "pentatonic" and "lick". However, your musical studies have clearly not progressed to the point of the realization that the technical difficulty of a piece has absolutely no correlation to the quality of the music itself.

Time to hit the books, big guy.

. . . you're probably the same hater that I've seen accuse Zeppelin of "stealing" black music . . .

I like Eric and Tracy and am building a cigarbox guitar or three. My es125t might get lonely but there is room in music for variety and range. That looks like Mob Barley put on some weight. Have a peanut ya troll.

I'm the troll, I stated that I enjoyed this clip and love clapton, and then these twats start talking about how clapton sucks and how he is a rip off artist. He is an amazing musician and artist. I want everyone to enjoy music, I just don't want to listen to them speaking down towards one of my favorite

I will be a troll if need be, because I can

I do, he is an amazing guitarist, and that gets me all moist.... well maybe not moist as I lack a vajingo.... ummm never mind

True, EC has put out several crappy albums.
Still plays great live, though. Check out Crossroads 2007, with a band featuring Steve Jordan, Derek Trucks, Doyle Bramhall II, and Chris Stainton

or put on Wheels of Fire,,,,,,

1) Not trolling

2) Crappy song regardless of who is doing it

3) Clapton plays without emotion and therefore does not deserve
the praise he receives

Obscured by Clouds 2008-10-03 01:50:38 AM
You are all morans.

Music is a subjective thing. Its not worth arguing over. No matter how many times you say Clapton is a crappy one scale guitarist with no feeling, that will not ever convince his fans to say, "Gee golly, that guy from the internet must be right! I'm going to stop liking Clapton now."

Or vice versa. Anger in FARK music tab should be directed at the RIAA and labels and copy protection. Not at any artist.

/Unless its something I don't like

unfknreal 2008-10-03 09:32:31 AM
Clapton might be a great guitarist and songwriter, but he's a despicable performer.

Saw him in concert and all he said was "good evening", followed two hours later with "thank you, and good night". Blah.

Was there any music in between?

You know, 'cause I hear he does some of that.

You can be a talented farkwit who hates Clapton. I am assuming all the Clapton haters on here are rock gods who feel music can only be good music if it's intricate and the dumb masses (like myself) enjoy it.
I hate some of Clapton's soft pop pap, but like his blues playing.

Clapton is the best in a long line of great ones.

Someone above said he doesn't play with emotion, yet that is exactly what he DOES bring to the table everytime he plays and that is why I consider him the best.

He can say in one perfectly timed and played note what other pretenders try to say with way too many.
