"He's just a drunken college dork. I've been there."

Dave, you never went to college. In fact, you dropped out of high school. Remember?

I like the fact that the alleged "college dork" posted a response on the site (below the article) . . .

I love Dave Grohl.

I'd totally go gay for him.

Gay for Grohl '08!

So I take it he got to pass on all the early touring when there is no security at tiny venues and there are drunk fans on the stage constantly.

I don't think I've been to a show where no fans are onstage actually...

No in those days they were running at Cobain.

Saying "Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl" seems redundant.

Aw, man I missed it. I was there, but I left early yesterday. ACL was not as good this year as it had been previous years. When Mars Volta and Gogol Bordello puts on two of the best shows at the festival, you know you have plenty of room for improvement. Even Beck half asses it and added insult to injury by not doing an encore. But at least now I can say I saw Vampire Weekend live and they won the overrated band of the year award. I'll bet next year, less than half the people that heard them will remember their name, like that other band I forgot the name of from last year that everyone was stoked on seeing, but bummed after the show.

I liked Foo Fighters when it was just Dave Grohl.
Probot would have been better with Lemmy on ALL the vocals.

this, but every single thing theyve done beats the shiat out of nirvana. i moved from austin last year and didnt even realize it was acl fest already. sounds like i didnt miss anything(TMV is the worst live band ever, but that first record rules).

/beck at westlake high school ftw

I liked Foo Fighters before they released any album or even formed. After that, they totally sold out

I went to Virgin Fest this year and Gogol was amazing (I'd never heard of them before) . . . it's not something I can listen to in my car all the time, but their live show is a must see for people who like the sound of mixing celtic/punk/rediculously heavy ukranian accent that composes "gypsy punk"

and as for FOO FIGHTERS . . . they've always been one of my favorite bands . . . Grohl is extremely entertaining to watch live, and they always put on a hell of a show

I like that Foo Fighters song that starts out slow and quite, and then builds up and Dave starts yelling.

Heh, yeah... some of their stuff (esp the last 2 albums) has really sound similar to past works. However, I do think Dave Grohl's craftsmanship is much greater than most the bands that keep releasing record after record of the same shiat (like Weezer).
