So in other words he makes both Stevie Wonder and Stephen Hawking look like pussies.

A blind musician? That's unpossible. How can he see the notes?

I remember that kid from one of the Extreme Makeover - Home Edition shows. Nice kid, nice family. Glad he's still playing with the band

Well a trumpet, sure.

Wow. Makes me wonder what his major is - something unrelated, or is he planning to be a musician and majoring in music?

Interesting that his dad wears school colors but not a hat in the band, though - I would have thought he'd either be in all black (like on-stage prop movers) or else have to wear the crazy hat with the rest...

Makes me ashamed of complaining about well... anything.

Nice video.

Met both of them a year ago, after hearing Patrick play 5 songs as a special guest at a medical convention. Phenomenal talent.

Cool.

I was amazed at the video of him as a toddler, where his mom picks out a song and then he's banging, and in just a second repeats his mom's picking identically. At 1 y.o. Just amazing.

That's all well and good; but can he tell me how many fingers I'm holding up?

Yeah, so? I won the national championship in my dynasty in NCAA 09 tonight, but you don't see me boasting to the national media about it.

Way to go Patrick!

And way to go Patrick's Dad!

Strange how much stuff there is flying around a computer to get in your eyes...

Man are my allergies getting to me.

Concur... that image was both entirely appropriate and f'n hilarious.

And I definitely still have something in my eye. Way to go out and achieve despite adversity Patrick. I'll just stop complaining that my son is too good at climbing on things now.

In other news... actual father-of-the-year candidate gets coverage on Fark, to compete with the baby-stompers, wife-beaters, and meth heads. No joke: this is a seriously inspiring story.

Luckily for him he wasn't discarded at birth.

Marla Singer's Laundry: He plays the piano beautifully.

Now if he could play the cello in a marching band, that'd be a feat.

Thanks!

I remember seeing him/his family on EMHE. Best one they ever did, IMO. Glad to see he's still at it. He's got an incredible gift.
