Google is currently working on a Palin language translator.

You will be able to type in a coherent sentence structured usually around politics, and it will translate it into something garbled and nonsensical, like, such as.

Lipstick Pitbull Alaska likes of young men and elk-hamburger kind.

So you're saying she actually is Finnish...cause thats how she talks, like, such as.

BladBoy [TotalFark] 2008-09-28 03:54:41 PM
Well Babel Fish doesn't have Finnish, so I took our favorite quote and translated it to French and back again, I think it makes more sense now:

We have the commercial missions in the two directions, we make. It's very important when you consider even the national security issues with Russia. Because Putin raises its head and inherits l' airspace of the d' United States; Do America, where go? It's Alaska. It's right just above the border. It is l' Alaska which we send those outside to ensure us qu' an eye is kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, parce qu' they are exact there, they are right beside our state.

Meillä on kauppa tehtävät edestakaisin, me teemme.

That will probably go down as the funniest thing ever to be published in the otherwise incredibly unfunny New Yorker. That's not saying much.

Which, she thought, were one and the same.

I actually thought that Tina Fey was exaggerating last night until I saw Palin deliver that. She didn't really try to use a lifeline, did she?

She met the president of Pakistan and is Governor of a state next to Russia and Canada. And Alaska has trade missions with Russia.

Her qualifications are obvious.

I can empathize with Tina Fey's reluctance to do this character. She is a satirical comedian, which usually entails a creative writing staff and acting talent.

When she just puts on a different pair of glasses and reads Palin's literal transcription through a teleprompter, that's scary, not funny.

I am one of those weird people who live in THE EUROPE, but can't the Governor of CA or TX claim that because Mexico is beside the US they have foreign experience, how about WA or ND claiming because they are close to Canada?

Actually the Governors of CA and TX and NM and TX CAN claim to have a bit more of a grasp on the subject of foreign policy experience. Not a LOT more, but a bit.

The border of the US and Mexico is a highly populated one. There is constant traffic between the two nations at these places and many time issues arise on one side of the border that affects the other side.

The part of Russia that Alaska is near is one of the most uninhabited places on the whole planet. It has little to no infrastructure, mostly a nomadic indigenous population, and I believe in 25000 square miles of area, only has 400 miles of rail lines and roads.

I just try to imagine for a moment if the Dems had been claiming this what Rush and Fox News would be saying this.

Saw a funny video clip about what Rove was saying about experience before the Palin pic and then after. If I find it will post it.

I would be surprised if Palin is actually on the ticket come November. While the media and the public is vetting her now, I think they'll pull the bait-and-switch right before the election with someone who appears to be a better pick but has a lot of skeletons that the media won't have time to fully investigate.

Palin's statements would be a lot more convincing if she'd throw in a random "Giggity" here and there.
