The GOP is still employing the strategy whereby they project their shortcomings onto their opponent? Even after it has failed so hard during this election?

Brazenly retarded.

Yes. Yes, they are.

Rule 4. Accuse your opponent of your own misdeeds, preferably immediately before you commit them, otherwise immediately afterward.

(I'm collecting these.)

So what are your first 3 rules? rule 1. don't admit to being a member of the GOP?

McCain is backing up a whole truckload of stupid these days. He needs to fire some advisers. Although, I liked the glass houses part. Snark only works if it's funny.

Nope, rule #1 is don't admit to being a Republican. Use "GOP party" instead.

It is funny how Obama can both be untested in government with no accomplishments under his belt, and also directly responsible for the financial crisis.

Next thing you know McCain will accuse him of loosing Vietnam.

vartian [TotalFark] 2008-09-28 03:17:06 PM

honeymaid8: So what are your first 3 rules?

What I have so far, with arbitrary numbering (from my profile):

1. You are working for the win; nothing else matters.
2. Under no circumstances admit weakness, fault, or error.
3. Never acknowledge any success by, or virtue in, your opponent.
4. Accuse your opponent of your own misdeeds immediately before you commit them.
5. Attribute you own weaknesses to your opponent.
6. Attack your opponent's strengths, turning them into weaknesses.
7. Fifty percent plus one is a win.
n+1. See Rule 1.

This looks like bad news...

...for Obama.

Weaver95 [TotalFark] 2008-09-28 04:15:54 PM
"It was clear that Sen. Obama still sees the financial crisis in America as a national problem to be exploited first and solved later," McCain said. "I am determined to help achieve a legislative package to help avoid the worst, and to set our economy back on the path of stability, confidence, and growth."

so we've always been at war with Eurasia then?

cpttripps 2008-09-28 04:18:06 PM
And the neocons will lap it up like sweet, sweet milk.

After eight years of Bush, a moron for VP and the economy looming so large, they know they're going to lose. Might as well resort to lying.

oldebayer [TotalFark] 2008-09-28 04:20:10 PM
I love hearing McCain's ads claim that he cleaned up Washington and reformed Wall Street. He must have done it at night.

oldebayer: and reformed Wall Street. He must have done it at night.

He has reformed Wall Street. Without his reform, it wouldn't have been so able to collapse.

No, we've always been at peace with Eurasia, we've always been at war with Eastasia.

Double pluss ungood.

(McCain) had disliked her from the very first moment of seeing her. He knew the reason. It was because of the atmosphere of hockey-fields and cold baths and community hikes and general clean-mindedness which she managed to carry about her.

He also managed to drink his Metamucil and pee (mostly) into the toilet. Except for the Mavrick drops, of course.

Not that it was Obama's idea to suspend his campaign and runnoft to Washington to slow down the process.

I seriously wonder if John McCain really ever had any honor, or if he merely made himself look that way when it was politically advantageous. Needless to say, he doesn't have any now.

Remember there are still 20 odd % of people who still approve of Bush so they would accept whatever McCain says no matter what.

I don't understand some people. If McCain went on TV and said that if he won the election his first task would be to nuke Russia, and did it while foaming at the mouth, people would still vote for him.

Cathedralmaster 2008-09-28 07:48:34 PM
If McCain wins in Nov., I don't know where they are but please please please someone find the barbarians and get this shiat over with.

Can anyone name a good decision John McCain has made over the past 2-3 months?

Can anyone name a reason that the American people might expect McCain to be able to make good decisions over the next 4 years?

The Why Not Guy [TotalFark] 2008-09-28 07:50:43 PM
I realize a sizable percentage of Americans disagree with Obama's ideology. That's fine, not that you needed my permission or approval.

But ideology aside, I don't see how anyone can support John McCain. He's running one of the most hypocritical, dishonest campaigns I've ever seen. I honor his military service, but this campaign has obliterated any respect I had for him as a man. He should be ashamed of himself.

Caesar1313 2008-09-28 07:50:46 PM
"John McCain should be careful throwing rocks in his eight glass houses," said Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA McCain made a funny!

Semi-Sane 2008-09-28 07:54:43 PM
Obama is blatantly exploiting the current financial crisis. I was disturbed that Obama tried implying that McCain is somehow going to be partial or biased in his economic decisions just because McCain has a few low-ranking, ex-Fannie Mae lobbyists in his campaign. Obama's comments were shameful.
