I have a hard time believing he did that, but it sure as hell sounds like he did.

RedEyedWings 2008-09-27 11:24:30 AM
Wow, how presidential of him.

At least he had the decency to look Obama in the eye when calling him naive and dangerous and lying about his record.

Oh wait.

/I don't really care if he said 'horsesh-t' or not
//I do care that he got owned in his strong suit last night and that Obama seems to have a better grasp of the War on Terror than the man who stood next to Bush and started it.

Salty! I'm sure they both thought it.

You have a hard time believing that a guy who called his wife a c*nt said "horse sh*t" during the debate? It's not that big of a stretch.

GaryPDX [TotalFark] 2008-09-27 11:26:23 AM
I said it 15 times out loud. It was evenly spread out between the candidates too.

Edipis [TotalFark] 2008-09-27 11:27:22 AM
obama said "allahu ackbar" thrice, under his turban.

Joystk [TotalFark] 2008-09-27 11:29:12 AM
I don't mean to defend McCain, but I don't want this to start circulating and we all find out it's a case of 'play the record backwards to hear 'I Love Satan'.

It kind of sounds like he says...

'Course... But I can hear how it could sound like 'Horse shiat'.

When GaryPDX calls out McCain on stuff it just kinds blends in with the thread and no one notices. If he says something about Obama it's "Oh how very independenttm of you!" Disagree with what he says fine but stop being douche bags and act like he doesn't do it to both sides to try and win a point without actually doing anything.

Not all people who don't like Obama are in love with McCain. I really do wish there were other choices.

Wow, that is so not what he said. You people are truly desperate.

Guys, really, the stuff that he said out loud, with the mic clearly picking it up, is what we should be laughing at.

I'd be swearing under my breath too if my opponent was constantly calling me on my bullshiat and pointing out my hypocrisy.

He must be one of those camouflage independents.

It was complete horsesh*t that Nader, Barr, Baldwin and McKinney weren't at that so-called "debate". It was nothing more than a parallel press conference brought to you by the RNC and DNC, with the help of the CPD and of course their propaganda wing in the media.

He's an equal opportunity misanthrope. Its just hard to tell the difference between that and a Republican these days.

We get it you hate the two party system. Good for you.

I am glad Palin does a better job at representing what the Republican party stands for.

He was saying, "'Course...'Course.." as a filler word to start a rebuttal. Like 'Course, you know my opponent doesn't understand blah blah blah wharbgl. Just turn up the volume a little. It's bloody obvious he's not saying horsesh*t.

cameroncrazy1984: You have a hard time believing that a guy who called his wife a c*nt said "horse sh*t" during the debate? It's not that big of a stretch.

The two examples you cite don't have much to do with each other since McCain is only right in one of them. Nobody can refute that McCain had no idea what he was talking about in that interview about Spain two weeks ago.

I notice. It's usually something like "McCain sure did spit on the sidewalk, but at least he's not a Muslim socialist who goes down on Darth Pelosi every day".

No argument there. I don't see how adding anybody else to the circus would have made a difference though.

The only people who watch these debates are already pretty well informed. They certainly know as much as they need to about Nader. The people who would really benefit from seeing a 3rd party candidate we're doing something else with their friday night.

I agree. Gary's come a long way in the past few years. I think he's proven himself not to be a right-wing ditto-head, but rather a right-leaning free thinker. Fight the real enemy, guys.

Mordant: meh, I'm for 8 more years of hardcore republican rule.

It won't happen. The Republican party wouldn't survive it. This is 1992 all over again, except this time our guy actually has a sense of humor and doesn't listen to the poisonous leech that lives on his spine all the time. In 92, the Republicans folded their tent up and let the winds prevail, knowing that Bush/Quayle had screwed the pooch, and hoping that 1996 would prove to be just as much a GOP resurgence as 1980. Republicans have their head so far up Reagan's ass (and their own) they actually believe that Reagan will show up every election cycle to bring them back from the dead. That happened twice, recently. Reagan and Bush I. It's been downhill from there, and this time I think it will be another 2 term Democrat. But who knows?

Seriously, it's a scary "us verses them" thing these days. If Americans keep doing this and there will be another civil war one day real soon.

Neutrality is if I didn't call McCain on bullshiat either. Not OMFG she said something bad about Obama. ANNNNDDDD I've never claimed to be neutral I just said I wasn't voting for McCain. Huge freaking difference.

thamike: this time I think it will be another 2 term Democrat. But who knows?

Whoever wins this year is going to get one and be bounced so far out of Washington they'll end up working at a car wash somewhere. The problems we have now are not going to be solved in 4 years, and the republicans will start passing the buck about .00000009 microseconds after they get a scapegoat. That will reset any concerns that people may currently have and they can start with a clean slate in 2012 and really start raping us.

thamike 2008-09-27 12:03:25 PM
GaryPDX: If Americans keep doing this and there will be another civil war one day real soon.

Nah. Another slew of Chicago 1968/ Watts/ Whittier Blvd. savage freak-outs, possibly. No civil war. The divisions aren't deep enough and the population not evenly split enough for any seriously large-scale violence.

what_now [TotalFark] 2008-09-27 12:04:42 PM
No he didn't. And even if he did, who the fark cares?

Can we talk about the fact that McCain clearly didn't know anything about the bail out plan?

Or that neither of them would talk about what they'd have to cut out of their plans because of this $700b Wall Street Wellfare plan?

No, we're Americans, so we're gonna discuss the most trivial of matters and ignore the substance.

I am sure you believe what you're saying but when you parrot disingenuous Republican talking points like the one I just quoted, you lose a lot of credibility, especially when lecturing people on how to act.

Everything bad is always the other Factions fault. That's the vicious little circle that's been playing out since the last civil war. I think they actually work together to keep the public confused.

"Worshington." -(R-Candidate) I'm not a fan of either candidate right now, but John, it is spelled "Washington". Please get it right, you want to live there. Obama, you have a few things to work on also. So far, a pig in a poke, or a country that's broke!

Remedial classes start tomorrow.
