Wow, even she doesn't take her meetings seriously. "I'm supposed to pose again." Holy fark. That's just the sort of line that shows her qualifications.

Tell me about it. I'm a Republican, how do you think I feel. It's actually getting hard to picture her NOT wrapped around a stripper pole. On the Wonkette message boards she was called "Bible Spice" Good grief. *facepalm*

Exactly... that's what she was put on the ticket for. Not for what's in her noggin, her experience, knowledge, judgment, political skill, ability to think on her feet or anything else...

"I'm suppose to pose again"

Hmmmm...maybe she's saying that because a camera man ASKED HER TO POSE AGAIN.

Wow, I know "this is fark" and all, but still, you guys are just really digging to find something to hate about her now.

Watch the video in TFA.

Dorks.

Sarah was obviously embarrassed by the Pakistani's rudeness, and was changing the subject. Meanwhile, aides and cameramen were motioning for the two of them to pose for more pictures. She handled herself like the professional that she is.

Bible Spice lol wut? Look Im a Democrat and Im tired of Picking on Palin. I mean I think the point that she might not be up for the job has been clearly made and the real person who should be taking the blame for her is John McCain. That was his first "excutive" decision and it speaks to his jugdement. Thank god for the debate last night cause it shows that this election is about Obama vs McCain not the VP picks.

Oh yay. They take Palin out on a dog and pony show to meet leaders, and she starts an international incident? Niiiice. Can't blame her, though. It's not like she can see Pakistan from her porch.

It's called a "Sense of Humor". This demonstrates something Republicans recognize as "Intelligence".

At least her dog and pony show only involved a trip to NYC. Obama flew all over the Middle East on his. I think neither is qualified to be Vice President.
(yes, I know Obama's running for President. Do you get my point?)

Zardari is a dead man walking. He doesn't control that country, the military does, and they'll dispose of him once the opportunity arises.

So I say let him have some fun, it's not like Palin is going to matter by the end of the year.

There's also the spending freeze he ad-libbed, I think, during last night's debate. On everything except defense, veteran affairs and entitlement programs.

Hope you don't need a federal government!

It is funny that this Pakistani brouhaha is apparently a response to coverage in the Indian media ridiculing the guy. The US coverage (some of which ridiculed Ms. Palin) doesn't seem to have attracted similar reaction.

Watching that moment on TV with someone who works in our federal government was a real treat.

The Pakistani President was confused, that's all. He thought he was meeting Denise Milani.

You know for a guy who's wife was assassinated 9 months ago he really doesn't seem to be too broken up about it. I never liked him, or Benazir, there was a reason they were run out of town on a rail, and this gives all the more evidence that they were both in it for the power, wealth, and fame. There's just something wrong about saying that a woman is gorgeous when you should still be grieving about your wife being shot in the head that seems wrong. They're both criminals and yet the US propped them up as potential friendly rulers, as we love doing.

So, exactly how long is the correct length of time to grieve.

A necessary evil, ma'am. A necessary evil. No reason for it to get any more bloated than it already is, however. I too sensed that McCain might not have thought out his spending freeze statements. I reflexively experienced a GB #41 "No new taxes" cringe.

Is this the best your country has to offer?

If its the truth you guys are well and truly farked.

This is a serious incident because it shows just how lightly a McCain administration would be taken by the Muslim world.

Electing Palin as VP would be like printing up "attack us" flyers and airdropping them into al qaeda training camps.

I saw a news story on CNN I think it was about how photographers hre herded into her meetings for 30 seconds and then told "thankyou, that is enough leave now". It made Palin and her minders look like complete dicks.

That's ok with McCain. Then he'd be able to fight some more wars. He's still pissed about losing in Vietnam. He wants to beat somebody before he dies.

badhatharry 2008-09-27 09:23:31 AM
Big deal. The photographers wanted them to stand there longer shaking hands. This guy kind of surprised her with his comments. So she says, "Oh great, we have to pose again," in a kind of sarcastic way. I though it was kind of funny.

Egalitarian [recently expired TotalFark] 2008-09-27 09:23:52 AM
what was that at the end of the article about somebody trying to put the moves on Condi Rice?

"A previous inappropriate encounter between a leading Pakistani male politician and an American female politician was seized on by political opponents in parliament after Condoleezza Rice biographer Marcus Mabry described in pitiless detail an abortive charm offensive by former prime minister Shaukat Aziz on the U.S. Secretary of State, after Aziz had allegedly told diplomats that "he could conquer any woman in two minutes"."

I missed that little episode. Who would hit on Condi anyway? Everyone knows she's totally and tragically crushed out on Georgie.
