I'm with them. I'm a registered independent. All this debate did was make me dislike both of them. But, I disliked McCain more due to his stunt prior to the debate. That was just plain lame.

With the exception of the bailout and lack of answers tied to that, I'd have to agree. Obama at least seemingly admitted that he wouldn't be able to complete his agenda (though he wouldn't say what).

/McCain didn't answer that question either, but tried with even fewer details.

It's interesting how in 2000 republicans criticized Gore for his condescending to Bush in the debates and yet they seem to get a kick out of McCain's attempts to do the same to Obama.

Replace Gore's audible sighs and eye rolls with 'doesn't understand' and the McCain smirk. It's the exact same thing that allegedly cost Gore the debates.

In my opinion, McCain came off like the clear winner.

If anything, Obama proved that he doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to do what it takes is necessary to finally end the scourge of Islam once an for all. You all remember 9/11, right? Yeah, those guys.

As a life-long democrat, I was on the fence in regards to which candidate that I would throw my support too. Now this decision is clear, and it's in support of America. It's in support of John McCain.

After this debate, I now know who wants to slay the opposition to our national interests... and who wants to tuck-tail and run towards ethics and communication.

Only one candidate is able to, with a straight face, admit that he has no intention of understanding our enemies. Only that they must be destroyed. For no other reason, than for the financial gains of an wealthy few.

My prediction for the Day after Election Day:
Half of America will be happy.
Half of America will be sad.
There will still be soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.
There will still be problems on Wall Street.
George W. Bush will still be confused.
Dick Cheney will be destroying evidence in his office.
Everything else in America will be EXACTLY THE SAME.
Because that's how democracy works.

I have to say, your post was masterful and has convinced me that, even though I am not a Democrat, perish the thought of ever having been a life-long Democrat, like yourself, I, too, should now solidly endorse Senator John S. McCain.

In a world where the Iraqis attacked us on 9/11, aided by those evil-doers from Afghanistan, we cannot be too careful, never let our guard down and the thought of using our intelligence community to understand this situation is absurd, at best, and wasteful at the least.

What we need is prayer, guidance from the Almighty, and with the help of our one true God, we can smite our enemies, tear their limbs asunder, bomb their buildings into rubble, and listen to their wailing as they die a slow, painful, death, just as Jesus, Himself, would want.

We live in a perilous time, at a crossroad, a period in history where we face the ultimate challenge to our beliefs. Are we truly committed to the Bible, the inspired word of God? Can we ignore all of the warnings that the end times are near? Can we shirk our responsibilities, as Christians, to seize this opportunity to fulfill the promise of Revelation? The realization that these liberals cannot understand that God, and only God, has blessed us with a nuclear arsenal, which must be used to bring about Armageddon - because only then can we know the real meaning of peace, as the Lord our God has promised us.

And only John McCain, with the help of Sarah Palin, can bestow this blessing on us, as well as the rest of the world, so that they may all know the peace that is our God.

Who are "they"? I don't know. I will let our ELECTED officials tell us who "they" are.

"They" may be communists. "They" may be Muslims. Who cares. Maybe "they" migh be the communists again. Who knows?

In the end, WARS are fought with guns. NOT with understanding or compassion.

John McCain wins WARS. Obama apologizes to our enemies and gives health care to the undeserving. BOTH without preconditions.

And where do you see me even implying that?

You seem to feel that Americans should not be able to choose any political party they wish, I disagree.

You seem to feel that you have a right to deny someone their right to become a member of the Communist Party, the Socialist Party, or even the reprehensible American Nazi Party, should they choose to do so, I do not.

Where we differ is that I have no problem with anyone joining any party - as long as they stay inside the laws of this land as they currently exist. You would deny people that right.

Republicans - not the party that believes in rights, apparently.
