This man is a totally under-rated guitar god. I've been listening to his radio show Vinyl Tap and have been surprised by his encyclopedic knowledge of modern music.

Seems like a nice guy, too.

Every time I hear a BTO song I feel all stabby.

You should probably look into his prior band, The Guess Who. They're Canadian, yes, but they also kick ass. They did a certain song that Lenny Kravitz farked up several years ago. And they don't suck like BTO.

BTO is the "greasy beer fart" of Canadian Music but the man is a solid guitarist and some of the Guess Who is top notch.

Man, I miss those "ABC In Concert" shows. Someone ought to bundle them up and release them, although I bet the licensing could be a nightmare. Still...

BTO kinda sucks
and I knew it even as a teen when it was new

but Bachman is one of the rock n roll greats
his American Woman riff bounces with life when the Guess Who play it
while Lenny Kravitz' version sounds like a white boy with no soul whatsoever

Came here to say this, but I see I'm too late.

I saw them in '74 on their "Not Fragile" tour, and then, about 15-17 years later, I saw him with another version of the band(he was the only original member) and he was still kicking ass on guitar. Even took a few minutes to talk to my brother and I the second time. Hell of a nice guy...

His kid's song had a nice hoo, too.
