Awesome. Modern Times was some amazing work; can't wait to hear this one.

The Bootleg Series 1-3 was a scattershot 3-disc boxed set of unreleased early Dylan goodies.

4-6 were each 2-disc sets that showcased different eras of Dylan's stage shows.

#7 was the soundtrack to the Scorsese documentary "No Direction Home".

All of these were awesome. I own them all on honest-to-God CD hardcopy.

#8 is a collection of stuff from the past two decades that wasn't good enough to make the mediocre albums he's been putting out? Pass.

Look closely. Only the "r" was struck.

This Bob Dylan fella, I'd be interested in hearing more about hime. Is he some prophet or religious figure?

Keep in mind that Volume 3, which covered up to 1991, included "not-so-good" songs like "Blind Willie McTell", "Series of Dreams," and "Foot of Pride", all of which were recorded between 1987 and 1991.

And if you count Modern Times as a "mediocre" album you're smoking crack.

Nah, he's just some drunken Welshman. Or, what amounts to the same thing, a Welshman.

This. Also, who didn't like Time Out Of Mind?

I think Dylan's recently put out some of his best work ever. Time Out of Mind, Love and Theft, and Modern Times are all very good.

I agree - the recent stuff - especially Love and Theft -- ranks with his 60s work. Too bad this is a compilation album:(

Ah, another casual fan. Perhaps you'd rather him sing Tambourine Man again? Nothing good since BoB or BotT?

You're right. He sucks. You should stop listening.

Time out of Mind was amazing. Love and Theft and Modern Times both equally so.

World Gone Wrong, Oh Mercy, and Good as I Been to You?

Please. Just stop talking now. You have no idea what you're talking about.

A compilation of alternate versions and unreleased songs from the recent albums. I thought it was strange that Tell Ol' Bill isn't on there though, since that's easily one of his best songs in years. If you like Love and Theft there's like 2 or 3 alternate versions of Mississippi (depending on which you get, the regular or stupid expensive deluxe that I will download after I purchase the regular version) and Dylan's alternate versions are sometimes better than the originals, like the No Direction Home version of Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues. In my opinion, at least.
