The majority of the troops aren't murderers, but much like general society, there are some that are the scum of the earth. Military prisons are full of such individuals. There very well could be a small percentage of soldiers killing innocent civilians.

Need to learn how our legal system works. They were found Not Guilty, not proven innocent. Factually they did it, but legally it couldn't be proven. I'm actually the one that loves and respects our troops enough not to allow their reputation to be sullied by a few dishonorable scumbags like this.

A close friend fought a drug addiction for almost 20 years and eventually wrapped his car around a tree partially because of the nightmares he had from Vietnam. Why is this relevant? because many of those nightmares came from being the bulldozer operator ordered to dig the mass graves where the victims of Mai Lai were dumped-all 500+ of them.
