Did any of those wonder kids ever became someone important?

/Or do they just die of drug overdose when they fail the expectation their parents had for them.

Wow, talk about scary parents. Shouldn't this be child abuse? He's friggin' TWO.

jaxwally 2008-09-21 10:02:02 PM
Cool, just like me except I don't ski, skateboard or play golf.

booboopowder 2008-09-21 10:02:58 PM
i'm impressed. the best i've ever seen is the kid of some hippies who could roll a joint with 1 hand at the age of 4.

studleystudstutterson 2008-09-21 10:03:04 PM
Yeah, but I'm sure he still puts his Huggies on 1 leg at a time.

/...It's normal to not be PT until 4 right?

TheSwizz: Great, but can he wipe his own ass?

My two and a half year old can, and that beats the heck out of being able to ski.

Chaim Witz 2008-09-21 10:04:25 PM
My 11 year old still pisses the bed at night. Can I get that in the Guiness book?

huzzah 2008-09-21 10:04:35 PM
Lets see some video. Just because he falls into a half pipe and goes back and forth doesn't mean he's a prodigy or deserves to be in a competition. Anybody heard of Michelle Wie ?

Because it's so much better to keep the child safely indoors away from anything that might be remotely dangerous?

Taila82 2008-09-21 10:07:51 PM
Wow. Apparantly I'm a shiatty parent. My 2 year old can simply wipe her own ass and eat without making a huge mess. I've failed her. That's it, I'm sending her to ski school.

Glitchwerks 2008-09-21 10:18:37 PM
Don't you be givin' it to me in that sippy cup! I'm an adult, and I deserve an adult glass!

bwahahahaha! That's the first time I've ever been accused of trolling.

See? You never know what a child is truly capable of until you strap apparatus to his feet and throw him down a mountain.

My 2 year old precious snowflake can do lots of neat things and is cute as a button. Total strangers go out of their way to tell us so. Yet, it has never occurred to us to go try and get her in the movies or just focus in on one thing she does well. Now that I'm a parent, I realize just how whacked out of your head you have to be to actually take a two year old to a modeling agency, acting school, or intense lessons. My kid has dance class, but that is about having fun and being active. She'll eventually figure out what SHE wants to do. I'm an avid golfer, and would be lying if I said I wouldn't be happy if she played one day, but I've never bought her clubs.

2 handed sipper cup. Hah, what a noob.

Wanaka, also the name of the street near my old school. It was your choice between calling it One-Knacker or Wanker.

Let's see how he does with a jump rope in his mom's car

Sometimes he's out there ski-ing with a dummy in his mouth .

Oh, how sweet. Wish I could see him.

They should put the kid on a snowboard. Teaching kids to ski is child abuse. His knees will be destroyed by the time he's 20.

E Arkhe 2008-09-21 10:41:46 PM
That seems pretty dangerous to me.. at least if he gets his teeth knocked out it's not a big deal, I guess?

autopsybeverage 2008-09-21 10:57:05 PM
GuidoDelConfuso: They should put the kid on a snowboard. Teaching kids to ski is child abuse. His knees will be destroyed by the time he's 20.

Skiing isn't as hard on the knees as snowboarding.

However, snowboarding is less likely to cause injury to the ankles.

Either way, you seem to have no idea what you're talking about.

No, that would be you. On a snowboard, your legs are locked in the same relative position to each other, essentially preventing the kind of debilitating knee injuries that are common in skiing accidents.

Upper body injuries are somewhat more common on snowboards, but with a set of wrist guards and a helmet, most of them can be prevented or reduced in severity. There's no way to prevent tearing your meniscus.

My 2 year old is already a disappointment? Damn, I thought I'd find out somewhere in his teenage years. Using the bathroom on his own is just not good enough anymore. Tomorrow, I'll teach him how to rock climb, and next week he'll go skydiving. I'll be damned if this kid is better than mine!

Ninja Defenestrator: Wow, talk about scary parents. Shouldn't this be child abuse? He's friggin' TWO.

not exactly sure how skiing is abuse. our 2-year-old daughter skis and snowboards on the wii fit board, and when we move to grenoble, france in a few months, you can bet that if she wants to hit the slopes for real with mommy and daddy, i'm cool with that. i won't force her to go out there and stay all day, but i'm not going to exclude her and tell her she's not good enough to do it for real.

different people have different lifestyles, and i think it's great that they let the kid play with the same toys they play with (sports equipment and such). i'm sure he's a very self-confident and well-adjusted individual who won't grow up having felt scarred for life for getting some physical activity and being pretty good at it.

He was trolling. Then he did this reverse troll thing to that other guy.. it was brilliant. This guy is like Yoda, i want him to teach me.

I was half-expecting the kid to be a Chinese girl who looks two, but whose birth certificate said that she's four.
