Will they be getting free medical care after when their arteries clog up and they die of heart attacks?

FAT PEOPLE UNITE IN HOUSTON!

The best thing about Domino's is the free toppings they give with their pizzas.

For instance: Cockroaches.

UNC_Samurai [TotalFark] 2008-09-21 11:32:28 AM
That's cool, but I wonder if they had a lot of dough proofed that they over-ordered, and this is the best way to get rid of it (and it's a write-off).

well Pizza hut would charge extra

While I appreciate the intent, the only outcome of this will be thousands of hungry relief workers suffering from crippling diarrhoea.

Domino's is the equivalent to concentrated Taco Bell.

For half a second, I thought the Houston Dominos were a basketball team or some shiat.

What about the non-hungry relief workers? WHAT ABOUT THEM?!

What is that? Like 132 in Pizza Hut pizzas?

That's more than FEMA has done for Beaumont.

No power, salt water in our water system...and no FEMA.

I'm self-sufficient - but it's farked up that an agency paid for with "my tax dollars" hasn't done jack shiat in my area, while they're all over Houston.

I understand that Houston is a larger city, but one farking FEMA truck in my city of 100,000 would be nice.

1,000 free pizzas = loads of free positive news coverage.
Savvy advertising is all it is.

But "Pizza Today Magazine"? Really? I think I'd like to see a copy of that.

Port Arthur got a FEMA truck.

They stole it from Houston though.

interesting...I wonder where domino's is gonna order the pizza from.

The thing is, I really, really like their sides. But their main product just ain't pizza.

Place Dominos next to little ceasars and all of a sudden it looks a lot more like pizza. Its simple relativity.

(I bet lots of the people posting in this thread about how much Dominos sucks will also post about how they haven't watched television in years, only like underground bands, etc.)

THIS

Jeez people, it's just farking pizza. Sure, it aint the best, but it's perfect for this kind of situation. Also good for football night (tonight).

You forgot exclusively drinking hand-crafted Belgian ale.

I love a good Chicago pizza, and have one every time I'm there. But I am also averse to being fat, and I can live with the super-thin crust pizza at Domino's. I just can't get that worked up over a farking pizza.

Pizza is a lot like sex. When it's good, it's really good. When it's bad, it's still pretty good.

/seemed appropriate

Kar98 2008-09-21 12:27:23 PM
The first night we had refugees in the civic center here in town during Katrina, the local Domino's sent over an entire van filled with free pizza for us volunteers. Same night, the driver got robbed at gun point by some of aforementioned upstanding citizens from way down South.
So during Ike I stayed at home and drank ice cold beer instead of working my ass off for a bunch of mostly ungrateful douchewaffles.

Exactly! fark them for offering pizza.

No good deed goes unpunished.

(How were the citizens of Houston heroic?)

well, more like $3000 for the actual cost of pizza, but then you got setup costs, utilities, payroll, bribe money, blah blah. Still it is a nice gesture, and are we sure its not a franchise and not the corporation doing the donating?

fernanernie 2008-09-21 01:23:24 PM
ewwww Domino's pizza, I wouldn't eat that shiat if I was starving.... meee, meeem mmeee memmeee meee.

You are doing community work and a company is willing to front some food it is a damn nice thing. I won't buy McDonald's but if I am busting my ass and some one throws a Quarter Pounder my way it will be eaten.

/Some of you people really need to get a perspective.

GreasyPornStar 2008-09-21 01:23:55 PM
tfa said it was a bunch of franchised locations donating the ingredients.

so its individual franchise owners donating, not a huge corporation.

Would we have the same douche bag comments if there was a story about Budwiser or Miller donating beer.

My friend works at Domino's and last time they had "Customer Appreciation Day" and gave away free pizzas he let me know that all the dough used for the free pizzas had expired that day or the previous day.

Oh corporate benevolence.

So, obviously, Hungry Howies must be the equivalent to having sex with Roseanne Barr?
