And, in short article form, it is explained why people chuckle when someone enters a thread and states that Obama's campaign is struggling and the libs are panicking.

Ever since John McCain chose Sarah Palin as his running mate, I've gotten confused about all the reasons I'm supposed to dislike Barack Obama. The previous reasons, in rough chronological order, were his lack of experience, his empty rhetoric, his flip-flopping, and his "celebrity." But Palin has made each one of those critiques moot.

The difference is those glasses. Have you seen them? They're so hot right now!

Fark reads like the Obamaton in my office. Vegan, diamond chip in nose but professional job, likes to brag about bands she adores that you've never heard of, to prove how much more progressive she is than you. You know the type.

She's farking OBSESSED with Palin. Can't stop thinking about her or saying hateful, disparaging things.

I haven't heard a positive word out of her mouth about the candidate she supports in weeks. She's generally very much about women's empowerment, but is thrown into a spittle-flying rage by Palin. I guess only women who follow certain liberal checklists are allowed to be empowered.

Her diatribes about Palin even have fellow office libs awkwardly staring at their shoes and shuffling away.

I would say it's going to be delicious when McCain/Palin win in November, but it won't be. Four more years of immature liberal hate, making people who disagree with you the evil enemy. I was hoping that garbage would stop when Bush and Cheney left town, but you Dems are having none of it.

Questions about Quayle's readiness remained, but he did his best to turn them into elite condescension toward small town America. Quayle, in his acceptance speech, spoke movingly about the small towns in Indiana where he had grown up, and later disparaged Dukakis for "sneer[ing] at common sense advice, Midwestern advice."

What?! Quayle grew up as a millionaire. His father owned the Indianapolis Star (worst sports section ever) and used that rag to push his son into office. He was, and is a daddy's boy.

In John McCain's OWN WORDS....

"I didn't decide to run for president to start a national crusade for the political reforms I believed in or to run a campaign as if it were some grand act of patriotism. In truth, I wanted to be president because it had become my ambition to be president."

From the horse's mouth in his own book.
He's running for President merely to satisfy his own ambition and ego, not to serve the people of the country. He doesn't really care about reforms or patriotism. His own mouth just bore him out to be a self-serving flip-flopper who will do whatever it takes to win.

From TFA:

Engagement, not experience, is the difference between Palin's qualifications and Obama's.

This is what I've been saying since she was selected. It's not really an argument that Obama's campaign could make without making it sound like they were just calling her stupid, but rather a narrative that had to form on its own as she gained more exposure, which it appears to be doing. This whole argument over days served in public office was spurious at best when applied as an attack against Obama, and it's doubly so when used as a defense for her. This is about knowledge, interest and understanding of key issues, and she appears to have none of these things.

I don't want to be able to say with a straight face that I'm more knowledgeable of and prepared to handle US foreign policy than our Vice President, and with Palin I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am.

Engagement, not experience, is the difference between Palin's qualifications and Obama's. Obama has a longstanding interest in national and (to a lesser extent) international issues, and has answered questions on all those issues in extensive detail. Palin has dealt almost exclusively with parochial issues in a wildly atypical state. (Her fiscal experience, which consists of divvying up oil lucre, offers better preparation to serve as president of Saudi Arabia than the United States.) It's possible Palin has harbored a long-standing, secret passion for policy wonkery, but the few signs available thus far--her convention speech that spelled out "new-clear weapons," her evident lack of familiarity with the term "Bush Doctrine"--suggest otherwise. The Republican intelligentsia is frantically tutoring her while they run out the clock until November 4.

This, this, this is what offends the hell out of me. And it's what I've told every mouth-breather who has used the "executive experience!"-card on me. I don't care if a person comes from nowhere if they have some sort of vision or plan. Palin doesn't have anything except a strong faith, but she fits the demographics, so now she's in a room somewhere cramming for the biggest exam of her life.

How can that not offend a true conservative?
