After R'ing TFA, I'm a little less concerned. It sounds like they'll be showing the ceremony at the Def Leppard concert, not the other way around.

If they were really going to cut to the Fox Theater on the jumbotron and show them playing the song before the banner raising, I'd probably call in a bomb threat to Joe Louis Arena just to save everyone the embarrassment of actually witnessing something like that.

Just let it go. The Red Wings will be bringin' on the heartbreak for the rest of the teams again this year because they're two steps behind them in every facet of the game.

As a Red Wings fan, I'm disappointed in the choice of bands. However, it means little... my real joy comes from the gnashing of teeth and cries of sadness from the fans of other teams when the Red Wings lay the smack down upon them! :D
