We are talking over 100 million units BTW.
Divide that by 10 "official" studio releases.

No actually I meant they were thieving money whores with absolutely no integrity whatsoever. Their first two albums were almost entirely plagiarized. And no, I don't mean they stole a few licks here and there or were inspired by something, I mean they stole other people's songs note for note and claimed they wrote them. After they got called on it, THEN they started to attempt to actually write material. Though that didn't stop them from continuing to steal other people's songs when they couldn't come up with one.

Critics slammed them at the time, and rightfully so. Most horribly overrated band to ever enter a recording studio. They could play well(other than Plant, the most excruciating "singer" who ever lived), but were they true artists? Nope. Just another record industry money machine.

My guess is that you have only heard their singles. If that's the case you're really missing out on some great music. Try giving Physical Graffiti a few listens (minus the vastly overplayed Kashmir) and see if that alters your opinion any.

The Spice Girls played a world tour to millions of people. They came to your town and, if you liked them, you got to buy a ticket and see them.
Led Zep played one invitation-only gig to an audience that was 80% media whores (funny how all those celebs and journos managed to win a ticket in the ballot, eh?) and 20% public.

led zeppelin is bad ass, btw. they got me in to vinyl and i thank them for that (im somewhere in my twenties).
