Well, he is a graduate of the London School of Economics...

Well, it's still vastly preferable to having someone from Metallica advise.

FTFA "And until recently, Apple's iTunes stores in Britain set higher prices for music downloads than in the 15 EU countries which share the euro."

Yeah the buggers over-charge here in rip-off, nanny state, don't-go-to-dentists, culinary quagmire, ugly chick-filled UK.

Whoa. Back up.

The chicks may not be stunners for the most part, but they have cute accents.

That counts for *SOMETHING*.

/Plus, I *LIKE* boiling the shiat out of everything.

He was there on scholarship, which is still pretty impressive.

/not knowledgeable about British scholarships, so maybe it's not that big a deal
//not knowledgeable about economics, so easily impressed by economists even if they're BSers

Well, based on performance, he seems to have a pretty fair grasp of the subject matter at hand. Rock stars aren't all dope-addled idiots. Remember Frank Zappa's epic appearance in front of Congress, where he pwned them more thoroughly than anybody since Fred Rogers?

I like the Stones - well, they're older stuff anyway, but I wouldn't turn to them for advice on anything and England lost any respect that I had for them when they started handing out knighthoods to people like the Beatles and the Stones (I never got off on that revolution stuff.....what a drag)
