Oh, in the US. I knew I had bought one in 1999, but that may have been in Europe.

I liked is cover of KUNG FU FIGHTING (done for the US release
of RUMBLE IN THE BRONX).

He's still the man.

Doctor, I can't stop singing the The Green, Green Grass of Home.

You've got Tom Jones Syndrome.

Is that rare?

It's not unusual.

At 1:59 "It's Not Unusual" packs in more excitement than any 6 minute+ mope fest one hears these days.

Elvira once said on Howard Stern's show that Ton Jones took her virginity back when she was a Vegas showgirl. And he wasn't good it. Now, that is unusual.

I prefer the term 'complaint rock'.

Art of Noise Featuring Tom Jones - "Kiss"

You just know Prince was pleased.

"The Lead and How to Swing it" is a great album. Tom Jones is the funkiest Welshman in history.

I have a theory about this version (which rocks all over Prince's
original thanks to Anne Dudley & the Art of Noise's virtuoso
production).

For years Weird Al Yankovic tried to get Prince to let him do a
spoof, and he continually denied him, claiming that he was a
SERIOUS ARTIST and how DARE he make fun of his SERIOUS ART.

Art of Noise went to him and asked for permission to cover KISS,
and being that they were known as SERIOUS MUSICIANS, The Purple
One said "Why yes, I'd be honoured (note the 'u' in 'Honoured',
since its just the sort of thing Prince would put in there to
seem SERIOUS) if you would do that."

I just wish I'd seen the look on his face when he first heard
Tom Jones (the embodiment of 60's male sexuality) belting it out,
and when he saw the video that skewered the pretentiousness of
the song squarely in the heart.

In short: God bless Tom Jones and The Art of Noise.

Which is a great theory, except that license to cover an already-published song is compulsory. In other words, Art of Noise didn't need Prince's permission. Neither does Weird Al, but he makes it a point to ask before he takes on a song, as a courtesy. He's just that kind of guy.

I'm normally more of a prog-head when it comes to music but I will buy the hell out of this album. Tom Jones is the man.

/nth-ing the Art of Noise love, I honestly didn't think anybody remembered them

When Prince released that song, my ears would bleed and dogs would howl when he sang in that god-aweful falsetto.

Tom Jones added testicles to the song and made it great.

How about no? Pretending to like Tom Jones was funny when I was around seventeen but that joke is real old now.

/He's basically an older and more orange David Hasselhoff
//looks like someone stuck a wig and googly eyes on a leather couch

So, too cool for fun, are we? How's that turning out for you?

How about kiss my ass - Tom Jones could sing most of us under the damn table and The Lead And How To Swing It was one of the best albums of the 90s.

Which would explain how Age of Chance did Kiss before Art of Noise

How do you take someone's virginity back?
