I don't know how anyone could vote for that celebrity John McCain and all his rock-star friends.

That song always reminds me of that Pepsi commercial from the 90s and the fact that Van Halen is perfectly useless without David Lee Roth.

What do Crystal Pepsi and Sammy Hagar have in common?

They're both full of gassy, vile, transparent molecules of utter and complete suck.

Who's the blond woman who ruined Van Halen?

I have Seen Sammy several times starting back around his '81 tour. Sammy runs circles around Dave onstage. He knows how to entertain.

Saw Dave solo a couple of times. They were OK shows.

Saw them both on that tour they did a few years ago and Roth completely sucked. Sammy was as great as he always is.

Saw both Roth and Sammy era Van Halen. Dave era was better. Dave era records are better. Sammy Van Halen records are pretty good and the shows were great if Eddie was sober.

Conclusion, Dave isn't shiat without Eddie. Sammy doesn't need Eddie.

No one is a bigger Sammy Hagar fan than I used to be, but since he left Van Halen his music has consistently gone down-hill. His last album, "Livin' It Up" made his cross-over to the "Jimmy Buffett" of Rock music complete. The guy should've hung it up a long time ago.

sammy hagar is not even worthy of licking the sandy drops of sweat that poured out of David Lee Roth's underarms during the shooting of the "California Girls" video

Right Now someone is having the wrong idea.

Right Now Mark is thinking of a solo project.

Right Now someone is building a better TOMATO.

Right Now I'd like some soup.

You know what?

Screw David Lee Roth.

He hasn't done JACK outside of Van Halen. He was a loser before joining, he was a loser while in the band, and he was ever more of a loser after leaving.

Hagar? He put out a lot of good music before Van Halen and good albums after leaving.

Yes, Roth was very good in Van Halen. But that's ALL he's ever done.

TheRockinDonkey 2008-09-14 08:46:07 PM
That's not entirely true. Roth enjoyed successful solo records in the '80s. Like most bands from the 80's, interest dropped off, just as Hagar's success dropped off after he left the group in '96.

Satanic_Hamster 2008-09-14 10:47:52 PM
Marching to Mars and Red Voodoo[i/] were good albums. :0

David Lee Roth had one cheesey album that mainly was known for having a good video.

Through, Hagar's best work were his pre-Halen albums. HSAS, VOA, Standing Hampton, Three Lock Box, and his work with Montrose were all very good.

Now, I really liked Roth's work with Van Halen. Just always thought it was overhyped.

No; but he did get a breakout of chimpanzee acne, and needs a bad operation.
