"Swift" "Boaters" for "Truth".

Note all three of those are in quotes.
These guys ain't too swift.
They're not on boats.
And they sure as hell ain't telling the truth.

At this point, I severely doubt they can lie more than McCain. I also expect to eat those words. I've pretty much lost hope for this country. McCain will be the next president, because we're all too farking stupid to stop his massive array of bullshiat.

The McCain people aren't even bothering to pretend anymore:

While the media is slowly starting to call the McCain campaign on their dishonest tactics, McCain's staff boasts that they don't care. As a McCain spokesman told the Politico, "We're running a campaign to win. And we're not too concerned about what the media filter tries to say about it."

BladBoy [TotalFark] 2008-09-14 04:27:22 AM
From TFA:

"In April, Simmons, a corporate tycoon who had spent heavily on the Swift boat campaign, began holding meetings with other Swift boat donors to discuss renewing their effort for 2008-- meetings that included input from Bush's former strategist, Karl Rove."

Not that there was much room for question, but I think this puts to rest the lie we heard in 2004 that Bush had nothing to do with SBVFT! Get ready for the new lie that McCain has nothing to do with this latest group of liars.

GAT_00: t this point, I severely doubt they can lie more than McCain.

Whatever. At this point, it won't matter if it says "I'm John McCain and I approve this message" at the end/start or not.

It's basically all nothing but lies coming out of the McCain campaign these days.

Turns out Palin wasn't even ever in Iraq. (new window)

After the "comprehensive sex education for kindergartners" crap, I've about lost all semblance of trying to be moderate. Obama supported teaching kids to protect themselves from pedophiles, and McCain makes it look like Obama's trying to steal their innocence. fark him.

John McCain is a filthy liar, and he can rot in Hell.

Jeremy Bates: Seriously though, I've noticed lately that a lot of posters are suddenly starting to post things that sound eerily similar to mind. Almost as if they've given up hope on restoring America and have decided that it isn't worth it.

I just can't get my head around the fact that the current administration enjoys an embarrassing approval rating of less than 28 per cent, yet McCain, Dubya's lapdog, still poses a serious threat to Obama and has, as of now, the same chances of winning the election as Obama does.

This translates into an interesting paradox: We hate the status quo, so let's have more of the same.

How farked up is that?

Old news, everyone needs to keep up ... including the cub reporters at the Post (they can no longer afford to pay for experience).

In fact, a large portion of last month's unemployment figures were caused by newsroom layoffs. Well, that and the fallout caused to small business by the increase in the federal minimum wage.

The sad thing is not that these ads are created, the sad thing is that these ads are believed. Especially by those who don't inform themselves, but see the TV as the source off all truths, those with the the disability of not being able to detect bias/blatant lies.

In my opinion, the US would be better off with Obama, McCain would only make the country sink further, on all levels. And his crazy-ass sidekick couldn't care less if we all went to hell.

Sad to see that good ideas and a solid base can so easily be overthrown by false promises and lies.

/But I live on the other side of the pond, so what do I know...

Fail. Mosk and Cillizza (authors of TFA) are not "cub" reporters. Last month's unemployment was NOT caused in large portion by newsroom layoffs - they represent a small percentage of lyoffs as a whole.

Where are the libel lawsuits when you need them? Obama is a lawyer, he knows the line has been crossed, even with the huge burden of proof required to get a libel conviction against a public figure.

American Issues Project is organized as a qualified 501(c)4 under Internal Revenue Service guidelines. As such an entity, AIP must use 60 percent of all its funding to make issues-based appeals but can use the remaining 40 percent to directly advocate for or against the election of a candidate. Any money spent for express advocacy must be reported through the Federal Election Commission, meaning that donors to the group will eventually have their identities revealed.

This should be good.

The thing about McCain, though, is that he decided he'd rather lose his integrity than lose an election.

1) He and his campaign have lied repeatedly about his VP candidate accepting earmarks. The simple fact is, as governor of Alaska, she sought and accepted more earmarks per capita than almost any other governor.

2) He and his campaign have slanderously accused Obama of voting for comprehensive sex education for kindergarten students. In fact, Obama is only in favor of teaching children how to avoid sexual predators, and the difference between "good touch" and "bad touch."

The list goes on and on. McCain has dishonored his uniform, and is running the sleaziest campaign since the one Bush ran against him in 2000. It's like McCain decided winning was so important to him he'd just sacrifice his honor nad turn into a Bush clone. It's a shame. The man used to be respectable

Won't matter. Start telling people McCain was associated with Keaton, and the old folks will remember the houses and money they HAD and will get riled up again.

Oh so Swift Boaters telling the truth about a SOS showboater who faked wounds and beat a trail out of Nam in a few days over two months is lying but the Macaca left telling all kinds of lies about a Veteran and a sitting Governor are heros.
The McCain and Palen will release anything that isn't already out there but Kerry never released anything private even for the million Dollars T Boone put up.

These guys are jackasses.

But you have to remember that McCain lead has shrunk consistently over the last week during the pedophile ad and the lipstick thing. McCain didn't score any points with that shiat. Now the race is a dead heat again.

A lot of places refused to run the Ayers ad so if they make anything similar, I'm sure the same thing will happen with these if they are equally as retarded. There's still a month a half to go with the debates still ahead which by all indications are in the bag for Obama.

Still waiting on Palen's tax records to confirm she spent tens of thousands of dollars in state money to stay at home.

Oh, in case you forgot those Swift Boat Veterans never even served with Kerry. Not a single one of them. And all of them were on the Republican payroll. Assholes, down to the last one. A hero isn't someone who denigrates another person's service.
