It sounds like he didn't actually kidnap her, he went over to their house. Depending on how the arguments were presented, he may have even been able to get off the rape charges by claiming that he didn't know it was unwilling on her part (though I find that hard to believe). If you take those two charges out, he basically solicited 'prostitution' from a 'pimp.'

Again, I think that's bullshiat, but that's likely the argument put forth by his lawyers. Yeah, he's in Germany, not the U.S., but there are douchebag lawyers everywhere.

When I was stationed in Germany back in the early 90's, we used to be able to get cartons of smokes on post for $4/carton, $2 when they'd have those $2 off coupons on them. There was a guy who used to come door to door in the barracks and sold beer, and would take a carton of $2 smokes for a case of $30 beer, he of course got busted and wasn't allowed on post anymore.

Ahhhh...the good old days of cheap smokes and good beer. I miss Germany sometimes.

They have so many varieties that its hard to really pick a favorite. However, it is nice to see the Octoberfest varieties (Beck's is also quite good) on the shelves again. Autumn really is a good season for drinking.

Well..there are some pretty good german beers.

When I lived in Germany, the beer man would come Mondays and Thursdays, and would leave off as many crates as you needed to last through the half-week.

A "crate" is 20 bottles, 1/2 liter per bottle, and when I was there, it cost DM 10,-- per crate. The Mark at the time was DM 3,60 per $1.00 USA.
