Soon, trapped commuters will be assaulted with an endless loop of "The Hampster Dance", played over loudspeakers near the freeway.

How did this not turn into a red stain in the road? Did all people suddenly stopped and said "Awww" at the sight of the hamster?.

I was actually this expecting this to be an article from the Onion or the Daily Mash rather than a real story.

+1 to subby for finding an article from the Daily Express that isn't about Princess Di, Maddy McCann or house prices though.

My hamster is to fat to be doing that. He runs in the ball and the wheel all the time. Granted not that long.

\Worried he's going to get stuck in his house and become a shut in.

I'm gonna have the image of folks in their cars watching the hamster overtake them in its ball in my mind all day now, & I just KNOW it's going to make me giggle at some inappropriate time...

CygnusDarius: How did this not turn into a red stain in the road? Did all people suddenly stopped and said "Awww" at the sight of the hamster?.

Upon leaving Chicago from my first time visiting it for a job interview, I was driving along the access road on the side of one of the highways as the highway was at a dead standstill. The amount of traffic I was blowing by, driving the speed limit and stopping at stop signs and etc, was absolutely insane.

Mouser: Subby has obviously never driven on the D.C. beltway.

My friend and I were stuck on the Beltway just past College Park, headed toward Rt. 50. We were talking about the Terps and she asked "so what exactly is a Terrapin?" I explained what they look like and why they're somewhat unique as we sat in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Not 10 minutes later, on the side of 495, a terrapin was lumbering along and making better progress than we were.

/I-495, where any hour is rush hour!
