Wow. Way to go, ladies. He looked panic stricken. "They're not lies." You bet, Johnboy.

I'm not a fan of that show, but I've caught Joy interviewing people from time to time, and she's a no BS kinda gal.

This is awesome. McCain can't keep a positive thing going for a full 10 days before he goes back to sucking again.

I can't wait for the debates.

They'll shred Palin if she's ever allowed to be a guest victim on their show...

I love how he rolls his eyes after being confronted about his lies.

Stay classy, McCain, you MaverickTM

For some reason I have recurring fantasies about her, a riding crop, strap-on, and some handcuffs.

Watching The View is tantamount to having glass shards stuffed into one's ears. Having said that, good job crazy barking ladies.

markie_farkie: hey'll shred Palin if she's ever allowed to be a guest victim on their show...

Won't happen. She had some mildly tough questions from Charlie friggin Gibson, so her next appearance is with Hannity.

I expect her to be interviewed only by O'rly, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Chris Wallace, and the Wasilla HS AV team.

I never thought I'd say this about the View: but I'm going to have to go home and watch the whole thing. There's a part where Whoopi asks him if she needs to worried about being a slave.

And to think... when I used to work at Big Brothers Big Sisters and go over "stranger danger" with little kids, I was just teaching them to be sluts.

Was Hasselbeck under the table the whole time? That could explain McCain's stumbling through the questions.

The best "real Joy" I've seen is when she's on Bill Maher's show. Smart lady.

You're in the wrong "Ladies from the view pnwn McCain" thread.

That one got redlit, and you keep your filthy sexual fantasies OFF of my garlic press!!

Nice to see one of these go green. It sucks that it had to take the freaking VIEW to call McCain out on the outright lies and distortions he is tossing, but at least someone did it.

What does it say about how badly McCain is doing since the convention, that every media appearance is an asskick fest?

I'll have to catch the playback later.

What hard-hitting questions did Sherri Shepard ask?

"Senator, as we send more troops to the far corners of the planet, aren't you afraid they'll fall over the edge?"

jerry2a 2008-09-12 02:25:44 PM
Awkward...I almost - almost - feel bad for him. You can see he's so uncomfortable sitting there...Reminds me of those Southwest "Want to get away?" commercials. Maybe we ought to make all of the candidates go on the view. I might even watch - as long as Hasselbeck is out that day - she really is brainless.

MaxxLarge [TotalFark] 2008-09-12 02:26:54 PM
NikolaiFarkoff: Was Hasselbeck under the table the whole time? That could explain McCain's stumbling through the questions.

That's probably why they removed it for this interview. Also, probably why they sat her as far away from him as the couch would allow. Otherwise I'm sure the "How did you get to be so awesome?" would have flown freely like wine.

WalkingCarpet [TotalFark] 2008-09-12 02:29:22 PM
Gotta give credit where it's due, they certainly weren't lobbing softballs at him.

Watching McCain squirm around the questions about his full of shiat ads was amusing too, it looks like he actually is starting to believe the bullshiat his campaign is throwing out there.

NikolaiFarkoff: Was Hasselbeck under the table the whole time? That could explain McCain's stumbling through the questions.

Hasselbeck actually works for the McCain campaign, and someone at ABC must have registered the obvious conflict of interest.

timujin [TotalFark] 2008-09-12 02:34:13 PM
McCain: I read the statements of our founding fathers... Judeo-Christian values were the founding of our nation... "In God we trust" clearly a belief that God has a plan for the world.

Um, no, dumbass. No. That shiat didn't exist until 80 years after our "founding fathers".

What the article doesn't mention:

Appearing Friday on the television show "The View," McCain said that the Alaska governor would reform spending for lawmakers' pet projects. He also said that she didn't request earmarks as governor - which is not true. Palin sought nearly $200 million in such earmarks this year.

Massive McFail!

keylock71 2008-09-12 02:36:31 PM
Heh... very nice. Good job, Gandpa, you sure looked presidential, all right.

I'd Love to see Palin on that estrogen-fest of a show defending her beliefs and qualifications. Unlikely now, I'm sure.

I loved his rationale for the ads. "if that uppity Obama had done what I told him I wouldn't have had to unleash Rove's slime machine and spread all these lies on him."

Skleenar 2008-09-12 02:37:23 PM
How about in the very same interview where McCain was being called out for lying in his ads, he then proceeded to lie about Palin's earmarks.

What a dishonorable old fool.

Some of the old Barbra Walters is showing up there. Hard nosed, quick witted, no soft focus lenses.

Very nice.

"Don't worry, Whoopie and Shelly, us white folk will take care of you."

Reminds me of why she was once a respected journalist.

And the conservatives and Fark IndependentsTM will STILL claim to be oh so confident during the upcoming debates, never mind their candidate hides from Larry King and just got his ass kicked by Joy Behar.

I wish someone would go after Palin. Her flippant remarks about going to war with a country that still has quite a few nukes, probably aimed at us, disturbed me. However, I suspect the political operatives are going to keep her on short leash for the rest of the election period.
