So this is good news for kids in high schools? Oh, and cougars...well, and those searching for cougars.

\Posting crappy music on your stupid myspace page is a stupid, stupid idea. You're not original, you're not cool, and you're not breaking new ground with your nickelback and kenny chesney cd's.
\\seriously, these are the worst designed webpages in history.

kona: Rupert Murdoch is watching you

Are you sure? He looks kinda dazed. More like he's trying to figure out what's going on.

What good is a playlist? Usually when you look at somebody's page you do one of two things:

1. Spend 2-3 minutes scanning the page for anything interesting, which almost never consists of a music playlist. Usually some pictures, or an embedded video.

2. Spend 15 seconds looking for the link to send a message or add a comment. And if that person is already your friend, you don't even have to visit their page to send a message or add a comment.

Myspace is kinda lame. Who uses it to listen to music in the first place?

wasn't this the failed yahoo music model?

yeah, but then you have to go to myspace.

When Sunshine/Superman became unavailable on my MySpace page I was very angry at Donovan. I am pretty sure that snappy tune could have snagged me more friends.

For a moment I thought about typing MacJUDAS! MacJUDAS! on his friends page but I forgave him and I'm a better person for it.

The headline lost me at "Myspace".

He's got sort of a Robert DeNiro face going on.

The article didn't say anything about DRM. If the downloads you pay to keep on myspace are DRM free, I'd be a lot more likely to use it.

A lot of artists already post their full albums on Myspace... sometimes a few weeks before the album is even released. I think it's a brilliant move.

If you want to listen to full songs and download them for FREE, however... Hype Machine is the place to be. And from what I understand, it's not even considered stealing because the songs are only posted for a limited time, for "sampling" purposes.

well, I would rather suffer using Myspace, versus iTunes......

Haters can suck it. MySpace is an excellent way to promote anything you might have going on.

That is, if you're the kind of person that actually does things instead of just sitting around talking shiat on those who do.

As much as I despise Myspace, this is actually kinda a cool idea. It helps people really decide if an album is worth buying, piece by piece.

/of course, compared to Twitter, Myspace is academia.
