That's a gentle way of putting it. Come on, there's no reason to pull punches. The woman already referred to herself as a pitbull with lipstick.

Not another Palin thread.

Look, by choosing a VP without properly vetting her, McCain got a pig in a poke. Now he has to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. I am sure all my arguments are pearls before swine in this thread.

The approach of attacking Palin isn't working. It has taken focus off Mccain. Dems have taken the stupid pill in another Presidential election and can lose to Mccain. A couple months ago, I would not have thought it even remotely possible.

Yes, but I was watching Morning Joe regarding this and just wanted to post this in a thread.

I'm guessing just basic fealty to his father's memory and the party that gave him his career. He did almost win. Probably like Lieberman, it's also exciting to always be one of the few swing votes, people on both sides need you.

I bet he could have made a deal for some juicy chairman gig if he'd switched, though.

That's correct. That is why the Republicans invented the lipstick lie. Obama was talking about McCain's lack of ideas. The Republicans do not want you to think about that.

On Morning Joe, he said the type of attacks on her were all personal as soon as she was announced. He feels independents just got tried of it and through their support for her giving it in essense to Mccain. Bad summary of mornings discussion, but anyway, I hope the focus gets back to Mccain.

ilambiquated 2008-09-12 09:19:25 AM
She isn't really wacko by Alaskan standards. She's just completely ignorant of the outside world, and has very primitive religious ideas.

Her society survives completely on outside help (name me one famous Alaskan inventor) to get oil that is used somewhere else.

So calling her wacky is like calling the king of Saudi Arabia wacky. On his terms he's fine. It's just he's so insulated from the real world that he has no need to think straight.

Well, if a former Republican congressman said that, it has to be true.

Could there be any clearer-eyed and impartial observer of the political world?

I think not.

Just what we need - a militant right-wing nutjob and Christian extremist in the White House to show the world why religious extremism is a threat to democracy.

she is though. that interview so far with charlie gibson is just creepy. she's biatchy and sarcastic, which is just what we don't need.

and by biatchy, i don't mean "strong-willed" for fark's sake, those 2 are entirely different things. she just comes off as a biatch. much like kerry is a douche and cheney is a dick. and if mccain dies, i'd rather not have some beauty queen idiot with a bad attitude negotiating with russia.

With the way Palin was repeating Mr. Gibson's name during the interview, did anyone else hear her saying MARSHA MARSHA MARSHA?

He's not a real Republican. No contemporary Republican would dare go by the name "Lincoln." Contemporary Republicans hate Lincoln. According to Lindsey Graham, "We don't do Lincoln Day Dinners in South Carolina. It's nothing personal, but it takes a while to get over things."
