I saw Roger Waters at teh Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking tour. He was an a-hole.

He told the audience to stop whistling and cheering. Of course everyone was still upset about the Floyd breaking up and he was the only game in town at the time.

He is a serious a-hole. Waters yelled at everyone at least twice to be quiet, and it was not even that much of it. He demanded silence.

No wonder they hate him. Roger is the reason they broke up.

Honorable mention, because it's not *really* real, is every time Les Claypool played with Primus in the later years and especially on the reunion tour.

He finds some reason to get pissed off at the audience, smiles a little smile, insults us and our mothers, and then uses that as an excuse to go off on a 20 minute jam based on the "American Woman" guitar lick.

EVERY. GOTTDAMN. SHOW.

it's kinda fun, actually.

/And how on EARTH was that First one even a FREAK OUT?! Not at all!! I sat through that terrible trudge of a song "Casts No Shadow" just to see NG look up twice with nary an expression on his face?! BOO.

Honestly? You are missing NOTHING. Nothing happens in it! He looks up, almost does a double take, then the camera pans to LG in the audience with a hat on, smoking and pointing at the stage and commenting.

Boooor-ring.

How about Grace Slick blaming a German audience for the war?

You know what? I've seen that, and it is probably much more fantastic than anything else on this list, because at first the audience starts to leave, but then they turn around and go back in to witness just how much of a trainwreck she it!

seriously, seeing NG get pushed from behind in the audience is way more interesting (in a jackass-stunt kind of way) than this. And that isn't even all that great.

I remember Noel continually watching LG in the balcony after that point though, being mocked on stage while he sang Liam's parts. I know it was a calculated move for publicity, but Liam was the one who should have been pushed off the stage over the weekend. Douche.

Not really a freak-out, but here's Henry Rollins making a new friend back in his Black Flag days.

How is it exactly that Amy Crackhouse can stand on stage, mumble and blather incoherently, and still manage to have music critics and (apparently completely deaf) fans comment on how "galactically talented" she is?

I've heard of Any Winehouse, I know her reputation as a "great singer" and troubles with drugs.
This is the first time I've ever heard her sing.
I am going to make sure I never listen to another song of hers so this will be my only reference for her.

That was so so awesome.

That author is right, I totally want to see Tommy Hilfiger punch Axl Rose in the face.

Incidentally... Tommy Hilfiger is an actual person?

He spit on fans back on the Animals tour in Quebec in '77.

Amy Winehouse can actually sing her ass off when she's not completely blotto on teh boozeycrack.

But in that vid, I think the only words I could make out clearly were 'I,' 'we,' and 'blearhghmmbl.'

/I'm glad I used 'preview.'
//I ALMOST misspelled 'blearhghmmbl.' Whew, close one.

crazycooter 2008-09-11 12:19:48 PM
Ok, that whole thing was a colossal waste of time.

1)There was nothing to see in the Oasis video, 4 minutes into the video he glanced up
2)the Fiona Apple thing was just a typical self-important celebrity accepance speech
3)Kurt Cobain one was dumb
4)Axl Rose could have been good if you could have actually seen anything
5)Kanye West should be on the "Audio" tab rather than "Video"
6)Amy Winehouse was just being Amy Winehouse

Fiona Apple: does saying bullshiat constitute an "awesome freak-out"?
Axl and Kurt clips were actually awesome.
Winehouse can't die soon enough.

Wondering what would happen if Fiona Apple and Jason Orange made babies...
For a start, they'd be pear-ants.

That's more like it. That's worse than all six in the article.

I saw GnR in June '06. Bach came out on stage to duet with Axl on My Michelle. I had no idea who he was, but the rest of the crowd went mad for him. He ruined My Michelle.

Farkomatic 2008-09-11 01:33:26 PM
I'm sure Amy Whinehouse is awesome and deserves all the honors she gets.

But when I hear her sing, I hear Wanda Sykes singing with pretty good pitch. I have no idea what Amy Whinehoue's face looks like because all I see is Wanda Sykes' face.

Not one of those clips was interesting. Not one.

Dave Davies farking knifed his brother Ray onstage. During a farking show. That's a goddamn freakout, you twats.

Axl Rose has always been a douchebag who thinks it's his responsibility to police the first few rows.

I was at the 1987 Guns n' Roses/Motley Crue concert in Atlanta when Axl jumped off the stage to beat up a security guard who was just doing his job (keeping people in their seats). We had to suffer through GNR playing Honkey Tonk Woman two or three times, while some drunk roadie took over the singing duties. My friend and I were very disappointed because we were there to laugh at Axl's "dance moves." You know, the stupid "serpentine thing" that he still does.

But, it all got GNR banned from playing in Atlanta, so I guess it was all worth it.

My favorite one is when some drunk guy starts peeing on Jason Mraz. Couldn't find the vid.

Nickelback guy hit with a rock (new window). He puts down the guitar and berates the audience with some Spinal Tap cliches. "Don't you fellows like to ROCK? I came to rock your faces off but I'm Ghandi" or some such rant.

Personally, I'd like to buy the guy who hit him a new wardrobe, and maybe some Jarts for next time those pedestrian losers come to town.

I was at that concert. It was astounding to see.

The Fiona Apple one.. something wrong there? Wasn't she just telling the truth? Looked fine to me, very mellow actually.

Guy Innagorillasuit: Not really a freak-out, but here's Henry Rollins making a new friend back in his Black Flag days.

I farking love that video. Just because of the barely seen smile on Rollins face the whole time. He seems like he's just going along, being a good sport about getting slapped in the face and chest, and then WHAM!

The punk deserved it. If "Get in the Van" is accurate a WHOLE LOT of people at Black Flag shows deserved to have their heads punched in.

Maybe I'm the only one. I thought Noel's falsetto was impressive. Also drunk Amy Winehouse can sing rings around most other top 40 acts.
And Fiona Apple had good advice.
I didn't watch the others.

Yeah, that's Charlotte Church. British singer. Famous at about 10 or 12 or something. Originally opera, known as the "Voice of an Angel" Sang for Bush, the Pope, etc. Now multi-millionaire. Own TV show. Swears a lot. Voice of an angel to mouth of a sewer. Dating Gavin Henson, Welsh rugby player (shaves his legs, fake tan, etc). Pregnant again.

She is kinda hot. I'd motorboat her!

I saw him in '99... he was good and it was great seeing part of the legend that was Pink Floyd, but his guitar player sang about half of his parts because ol' Roger seems to be losing his voice.

Anyhow, before the show began, he said that what he was doing was art and he'd appreciate it if we saved the applause and whatnot for when the show was done. I can kindof see where he's coming from. People didn't listen, but at least he didn't rant at us like he did you guys.
