Color Me Badd has long been the default group I reference when I want to use an awful band as an example/contrast/easy joke. They're one of those acts that no one admits having listened to, despite topping the charts in their brief moment of fame. Of course, if someone were to admit such a thing I'd belittle them incessantly. Something like that you keep secret, even if you were only 12 and didn't know any better when you hung their poster up next to the ones of Gerardo and EMF.
