And I was impressed when I the Max Weinberg 7 played a friend's wedding. Despite what you think of Phish, that did not come cheap.
I've never really given a thought to getting married except for the reception band. Whatever you choose, your parent's friends have to listen.

Answer:
Jesus Christ, Phish and the Grateful Dead.

Question:
Name three otherwise worthwhile entities whose fans are way too annoying.

I'd put Dave Mathews in that list.

That would be four and the question clearly asks for 3.

What's the most commonly heard statement two hours into a Phish concert?

And now for our second song...

Are you saying that if you got married you would hire Lightening Bolt to play your wedding to drive your family crazy?

If that's not it, then I'm totally lost.

Great news. As long as Trey is off the Oxy and other substances, and they rehearse their ass off, I'll go see 'em in a heartbeat.

Look, I know you're embarrassed about being a huge New Kids on the Block and *NYSNC fan while Phish was ripping up small halls and theaters across the country, but don't take it on their fans, mkay?

Well, I may see Phish if they play a place near my home. I won't drive hundreds/thousands of miles out of my way to do so, though.

I have, and would again if necessary (and feasible), though that was for New Year's shows both times (Big Cypress and the NYC hiatus reunion). Though I'd hate to see what that shiat would cost me nowadays.

Brad Sands is their longtime tour manager, so I'm sure they didn't charge anything to play a few songs on the wedding band's instruments.

Go for the two-piece Hella. Didn't really enjoy their last album.

Q: What did the Grateful Dead Phish fan say when he ran out of pot?

I'm sorry, but there were mountains of super-fun drugs available that year. You were actually straight enough to get critical?

It's good that there are bands like this. It keeps all the douchebags in town in the same place, and not where you are.

Looking forward to summer tour '09. When does the Schvice with the mail order form come?

Sorry Subby, not funny, original, or accurate. -1 if I had paid my $5. I do have a sense of humor about this, see bugenhagen, for example.

Back in college one of my 3 roommates was nicknamed Phish because, well, that's all he listened to. And sometimes Widespread Panic. Our after class ritual at the apartment was come home, eat and watch the Simpsons and then he would jam out to Phish for the remainder of the evening while we all studied.

Before then I didn't really care much for jam bands or neo-Hippies from rich white families like my roommate was, but I learned to appreciate it all just a little bit afterwards. And I imagine that is probably one of the few things I learned in college.

Well that and I learned how to ignore the mild gag reflex I get when I hear Birds Of A Feather for the brazillionth time.

I agree. I would also add the Flying Luttenbachers to the band roster. I would also have the divorce lawyer in attendance.

That sounds a lot like my college experience.

There's a lot of haters in here - which would be fine, if any of them were at least clever or funny. reposting the same tired "jokes" that get posted in EVERY phish/dead thread? not so impressive.
