Worse than that. For that show he claimed he couldn't sing due to throat problems, so Liam sat in a balcony seat smoking and drinking. (Which even MTV noted was a great way to treat a sore throat before the show)

Of course the funny part is that most people I know who have heard clips from the show can't even tell the difference. Noel should have kept the band broken up before What's the Story... Wouldn't have had to split the cash 4 ways.
