There's also the Republican favorite, "Don't hire the other guy."

To be honest, that was the same line used by Democrats in 2006.

This election has been going on forever, and will continue to go on forever, or at least until the Large Hadron Collider kills us all next week.

how many of you think that you would respond favorably to a different type of candidate ? So far every political discussion on Fark follows the same script and has people bickering over the same crap.

You'll get better when you deserve it, so STFU and go away until that day comes.

Dr.Zom 2008-09-06 09:55:05 AM
I would hire the guy who can use a computer.

GratuityIncluded 2008-09-06 09:59:33 AM
I'd be suspicious of the guy who can use a computer.

Oh, get used to the media being insufferable up until the election. Everyone on TV DESPERATELY needs this to be a close race, for the ratings. They'll focus constantly on the popular vote numbers and almost never on the electoral college map, just watch. It will be Obama/Hillary part 2, where she was totally out and they were still trying to portray it as a tight contest.

And what's the problem with hiring the qualified guy?

-Lead the biggest Ethics Reform in Washington in years
-Co-signed the Non-Proliferation Agreement with Sen. Lugar (One of those Evil Republicans, btw)
-Editor of the Harvard Law Review (Shows his willingness to take on tasks)
-Serves on the Foreign Relations committee
-Serves on the Veteran Relations, Health Education Labor & Pensions, and Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs committees

Good God no. Lets not give this guy the job.

It won't be "2 more months" - Hillary will start campaigning before McCain gives his victory speech.

Oh look, Charles Babbington.

Singlehandedly turning the AP into a minor league version of Fox.

Nice to know thats your sole argument against the man. "He's a politician!! THEY LIE!!"

At least you're not saying "Well yeah, but look at his name." I'll give you that.

And here's flucto accepting his award for most depressing thought of the week.

It's even more depressing if you're right.

I don't know what the McCain-Palin message is. Seems to be something about Ewoks living on Endor.

Charlie Cook. Stu Rothenberg. Michael Barrone. These are 'leading political analysts.'

Charles Babington is a reporter for the AP. That makes him slightly more leading than I am. Slightly.

This is journalism garbage...

"Such attacks may be hitting a mark, as voters have shown uncertainty about Obama for months. In a USA Today-Gallup Poll conducted Aug. 21-23, before the party conventions, 55 percent of voters gave the Democratic Party a favorable rating, while 39 percent felt positive about the Republican Party, a 16-point spread. But in the latest daily tracking poll by Gallup, Obama's lead over McCain was only 4 percentage points."

The claim was the Palin's "attacks" on community organizers was working on voters.

The d-bag compared two separate polls that were related in ambiguous and unquantifiable ways.

Yes, Subby, unfortunately we have 2 more months of this.
