I loved how the delegates were all costumed up like signs of the Zodiac.

Plus, the whole thing was in Dobly, which was amazing.

Here's when I knew Palin's speech worked:

Triumph the Insult Dog had nothing but praise for her during his RNC visit

And the RNC was a triumph of spelling mistakes and Walter Reed Middle School endorsements.

I'm most likely voting for Obama and all, but come on. The writer damn near gave the Democratic party a handjob with that article. Granted, no one but Farkers will read it, but essentially all it says is "THE DEMS ARE SO KEWL! LOOK AT ME! I'M LIKE, SO PROGRESSIVE!"

Just didn't have enough hate.

The Republicans got it right: they proved they love their country and hate half of everyone in it.

Obviosly Obama hates Middle schools since he did not show one during his speech. It looks like with his picture of Walter Reed Middle School, McCain may have won the NAMBLA vote.

Drunk Astronaut: Just didn't have enough hate.

Absolutely. The RNC was an Obama-in-the-shooting-gallery fun fest. Fortunately the Republicans didn't allow substance to interfere with the Dem-bashing and the crowd ate it right up. Wait until they put that crap up in front of a crowd they don't own. And Palin? She'll be dog meat for sure (if they ever let her out of their sight).

Fapper Dan 2008-09-05 08:40:11 PM
DNC was a triumph. 84,000 watching Barak give his acceptance speech. It was inspiring. I just signed up to be a community volunteer for Obama's campaign.

I used to like McCain in 2000 before he realized that he couldn't win the primary until he hopped in bed with the religious right. Now he has simply given in and sold out. The 72 year-old multiple-cancer-surviving white dude with the nutty right-wing book-banning born again mayor of Mayberry waiting in the wings does not represent change.

Read Obama's speech on race (new window). I know he didn't write all of it. But chose to deliver it. This guy is smart, savvy, and wise. Whether or not he will be an effective president remains to be seen, but at least he will work hard and he's smarter than most of us.

I'm pumped. GoBama.

We're afraid we aren't going to be able to keep laughing at your ticket for another two months without splitting a gut. Damn you Republicans buy into some hilariously stupid shiat.

I was more impressed with the Dems ability to exaggerate comparisons between Bush and McCain in every single breath than I was with the choreography.

I also liked how they rallied their base with more pronounced class warfare rhetoric.

The hateful ramblings of John Kerry were nice but not as good as Gore in '04. The Dems seem to have a talent for putting on defeated and bitter politicians with nothing left to lose and then chiming in "Where was he 4 years ago"?

Obama's acceptance speech was very nice. For someone who wants to reach across the aisle and unify us all he really had no problem skewing statistics and taking cheap shots at McCain and Republicans. My favorite part was him quoting a joke John McCain made (about $5 million a year being rich) out of context. Honesty you can believe in I suppose.

To be fair though I thought the line that Bush came into office on third base and stole second was a really funny and effective line for the base.
