At least it wasn't George W. McCain.

.

.

.

Not that I can tell the difference.

thats nothing, I voted for Barack McCain.

It's easy to tell the difference, McCain's the one with his head up the other's ass.

Just about as funny as when Tom Ridge called McNasty "John Bush" during a post-speech interview. They can't help it - they know it's Dubya's third term if the POW/PTA ticket wins.

That was a strange slip of the tongue. He must have been thinking lovingly of his old master and commander.

How was that wrong in any way? Seems about right to me.

I'm just happy that the McCain campaign calls Palin "Failin" in private. hehe

Particularly ironic, considering that "S." is also George McGovern's middle initial.

Well-read Baron 2008-09-05 09:17:31 PM
Having only read the headline I immediately thought they had accidentally voted for Gen. Patton.

Anybody else, or am I just watching too much History Channel lately?

skinink 2008-09-05 09:18:09 PM

If I learned anything from McCain's speech last night, it is that you can shout down dissidents with chants of "USA! USA! USA! USA!". So whoever the subby is, USA! to your momma.

Quick! File legal documents with the supreme court and have the votes recounted! Hanging chads! Have a convoy to drive the ballots from Memphis to Nashville! I was disenfranchised!

I think it's funny that so few democrats realize obama would be jimmy carter's second term. His election would set the party back decades and pretty much guarantee Republican control of the goverment in the next election cycle. So, maybe it would be worth it.

Is it any wonder? Not only has John McCain voted with Bush %95 of the time, but he's used the same speechwriters and same ugly rhetorical style. No question about it: John McCain is running for George W. Bush's third term.

It was the 70s, dude. How many people remembered them with any clarity at the time, let alone now? And more importantly, how many people want to remember them?

Compare and contrast the 1976 and 2008 Democratic Party platforms. Do the same for Carter and Obama's campaign pledges/proposals. Extra points if you can source your statements.
