Someone told me about that, and I thought it was a ripoff of the s

Yes, yes he is. It was obvious he was a sack of shiat then, and he's now moved up to 10 pounds of shiat in a 5 pound bag.

Yes, a number of Southern States are still a little upset that they get treated like children when it comes to their voting laws. Living in the South for most of my life though I can say that the fact they we do get treated like children when it comes to voting laws is a good thing and should continue.

That's a pretty common defense tactic for such things. The boards here were full of people who couldn't possibly understand why it might be problematic to compare Barack Obama to a monkey, and who never ever heard of a single instance where such terminology might be offensive.

Was it really that bad?

I was demonstrating how Republicans don't get the difference between something that's genuinely offensive like calling Obama "uppity" and the phony outrage over the sexism charges being leveled at Palin critics.

In a lot of the Palin sexist threads I read a lot of "sure but you guys get to play the race card with Obama blah blah blah". Well, that's because the racism is real.

I'm not sure how the rankings work. I think part of the problem is that there are people who would have said exactly what you did and believe it. If this were Olympic scoring I'd say that gives you an automatic 10. Troll/Inverse Troll scoring is probably different.

Well, the new style is "concern troll", and it goes a little something like this:

This guy is just some random Congressman from Georgia, and while I think the "uppity" label is going a little too far, you have to admit that Obama has been acting like he's better than the average person. I think the Roman columns and the hero worshipping from his cult members will come back to bite him.

Also, I think it's tacky that he didn't congratulate Sarah Palin on being the first female VP nominee. It just shows how wrong he was not to pick Hillary.

It's hard to tell who is kidding these days...

Especially when a self-proclaimed liberal starts talking like he's a neo-con who believes that dropping a fresh turd on his doorstep will prevent Osama from impregnating his 17 year old daughter. Turns out, it was that stupid jock from school who did that.

I know. The beauty of the concern troll is that a few small details are completely wrong, which leads the reader to call the troll something mean spirited. This gives the troll pleasure, because even negative attention means someone notices their alive.

gustakooka: I actually had no idea this was a racial comment until this election.

It's not exclusively racist, but it's traditionally been used that way.

What it implies is that the target of the term is part of the underclass and subservient. Any attempts to assert your equality or rights, or to try and improve your lot in life, makes you "uppity." So while it has been used against women also, it more generally has racist overtones.
