Crystal Pepsi was bad enough, now this.

If he were smart, the campaign would try to get the rights to The Beastie Boys' "Pow".

It is about artistic integrity, but if they had paid to use the song....

Van Halen= dicks, one and all.

Sammy Hagar= not a dick.

*These opinions were formed long before this "story".

There are many possible songs for McCain:

Man on a Mission
Fire In The Hole
Jump
You Really Got Me
Secrets
Push Comes To Shove
Black and Blue
Unchained
Runaround
Won't Get Fooled Again
The Dream Is Over

And some people like McCain.

Both are a pale imitation of a crappy product.

I SO wish Obama had used "For those about to rock, we salute you" either as he was coming out or leaving..Or maybe in the middle, just stop, look into the mic and scream "Stand up and be counted, for what you are about to recieve!"...With real canons and what not...That would have been so President Mountain Dew Camacho, but yet so damn cool all at the same time...And then we could all laugh at whatever wimpy ass song McCain picks..

Actually the entire Van Halen album relates to the campaign.

I'm the One
On Fire

and most recently, Eruption.

At this rate, they'll be reduced to playing Nickelback.

This happens at least once or twice in every major election, and it always seems to be the GOP.

Isn't it time the Republicans got the hint about using copyrighted material without permission. I don't remember ever hearing about a Democratic candidate being taken to task over this issue.

How can John McCain be off limits suddenly?

That was the best 6 minutes I'll spend today. Thanks for the reminder.
Kids: get your parents to tell you who those "musicians" were that he interrupted. They were the cat's pajamas back in the day... I think that the oldest fart there is still making music, but the others couldn't hack it.

Hey, Obama said the Timmy kid's off limits and he's right.

Obama said the families are off limits, but that only applies TO THE CANDIDATES. Come on, do you think Rush Limpdick and Sean Inanity are above a little terrorist fist bumpage?
Or for that matter, you know why Chelsea Clinton is so ugly...

And while we're on the topic, I'd LURV LURV LURV to see some journalist with half a sac ask Sarah Palin if she's planning on having more kids.

The only thing worse than a band selling a song for a commercial, is letting one of these hacks use it.

Lame.

He should Rick Roll the nation. It would dispel any notion of him being behind the times.

Sick RIAA on them. I'd love to see McCain's campaign get fined for copyright infringement.

I prefer Ben Folds' version.

And the Obama campaign would be the one to use it. ;)

For Palin

That's because he's trying to use Van Hagar, which typically is the domain of Democrats (Dreams and Right Now). Republicans are supposed to use DLR-Era Van Halen (Jump, specifically).

Right Now, Eddie Van Halen looks older & more unhealthy than John McCain.

Just find a Sammy Hagar tune to use. He's a Republican.
