I think most of the so called "caterwauling" is that all Obama supporters have heard from the McCain camp and other Republicans for months is that he is not experienced and then McCain goes and picks the most politically inexperienced vp candidate in history. If someone could find a statement from her saying that she was pro-gay rights, that would be different, but a veto with an accompanying statement that it would be illegal to sign it (the Alaskan Supreme Court just ruled the act unconstitutional), doesn't really cut it.
