Oh come on! Comparing shooting a moose to VP Dick Cheney shooting one of his hunting buddies in the face? That's really stretching it.

Yea, they've been stretching it ever since she was announced. The KOS Kids make me laugh though.

Oh, I've been seeing it all day. There have mutiple submissions today about the speculation that Sarah Palin's teen daughter Bristol is the mother of Trig Palin, not Sarah Palin.

That being said, I'm gonna still keep biatching about it.

Yeah, my point is that she could fire the sheriff for absolutely no reason and still be legal. At least that is what the courts determined.

Pathological liar, control freak, abuse of power, Christian Fundy. A Republican dream come true.

She's like McCain with boobs and an extra dose of the Jesus Juice.

This is what sucks most about the baby mudsliging: when an actual issue is raised - in this case, whether Palin abused the power of her office - it's tarred with the same brush.

Nevertheless, this is a real issue subject to an official investigation, and reported by real news sources; Anchorage Daily News (pops). McCain's one week of vetting has yielded him Dan Quayle in drag with an ethics investigation on her plate. If that's McCain's demonstration of his decision-making, I can make do without a Vagina American in office for a while longer.

If he's imploding the GOP in revenge for 2000 - great job, McNasty!

Snarfangel [TotalFark] 2008-08-31 08:26:09 AM
Mike Wooten's stepson Payton was 11 at the time (some reports say 10). He volunteered to be Tased, out of curiosity. The following statements are from police interviews of all four people who were in the house during the incident.

Now wait, if a ten or eleven year old boy volunteers for a shot of whiskey and a fine Cuban cigar, we would let the adult off the hook? At that age, there should be a bit of parental guidance.

Agree. I managed a trailer park years ago and every month I'd hear a variation of Troopergate, Babygate, fillinthebalnkgate from the tenants.

That right. But the argument is that she didn't just have him fired (she didn't do the firing, btw. You might want to get that straight), they claim that she had him fired for revenge and through abuse of power.

Fire for no reason = legal.
Fire for illegal(strong language) reason = illega.

Can you dig the difference?

But Obama being a muslim terrorist who wants to enslave whitey is not, right?

Until you acknowledge that all slander on all sides is still slander regardless of blue or red, STFU.

Difficulty: it has to be proven fact not to be slander (sorry, you can't have Obama being a muslim. Not yours)

C) KILLING THE MOOSE WAS ALSO NO BIG DEAL

I shot a moose, once. I was hunting up-state New York, and I shot a moose, and I strap him on to the fender of my car, and I'm driving home along the west side highway, but what I didn't realize was, that the bullet did not penetrate the moose. It just creased the scalp, knocking him unconscious. . . .

Even as someone who has posted links from Daily Kos, I find the baby story utter scum.

After the multitude of rumors about Obama, you'd think they'd be less willing to perpetuate a useless smear. Let's get some facts first.

Lewinsky, anyone?

Many scandals in politics are essentially "Wow, that was stupid, but... so?" that ruin people's career because it makes them look like a douche, yet has no impact on their actions on the job.

commonsensepolitics 2008-08-31 09:52:35 AM

Jesus how redneck can you get. This makes my home state of Tennessee look civilized. I can't remember the governor ever abusing power to fight with his brother-in-law.

In East Tennesse you just get drunk, go over to you brother-in-law's trailer and shoot him.

But there is no use of influence or illicit activity in this case, that I can determine.
Is she obligated to tell the world that her daughter was pregnant? Family shame, and all that.

I have never said that Obama was a secret muslim terrorist. The only folks I see bringing this up are Hillary voters. The Daily KOS site has said that the baby is not hers. Its amazing that they believe an entire state covered up for their governor so her teen daughter could have a child and have the mother listed as the parent. Not only its stupid, its incredibly vile. Obama genuflected to this drooling mob at the Yearly Kos.

/She flies coach will be the next attack I'm sure.

Fine, here it is in full:

I shot a moose, once. I was hunting up-state New York, and I shot a moose, and I strap him on to the fender of my car, and I'm driving home along the west side highway, but what I didn't realize was, that the bullet did not penetrate the moose. It just creased the scalp, knocking him unconscious. And I'm driving through the Holland tunnel - the moose woke up. So I'm driving with a live moose on my fender. The moose is signaling for a turn, y'know. There's a law in New York state against driving with a conscious moose on your fender, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. And I'm very panicky, and then it hits me: some friends of mine are having a costume party. I'll go, I'll take the moose, I'll ditch him at the party. It wouldn't be my responsibility.

So I drive up to the party and I knock on the door. The moose is next to me. My host comes to the door. I say "Hello. You know the Solomons". We enter. The moose mingles. Did very well. Scored. Two guys were trying to sell him insurance for an hour and a half. Twelve o'clock comes - they give out prices for the best costume of the night. First price goes to the Berkowiches, a married couple dressed as a moose. The moose comes in second. The moose is furious. He and the Berkowiches lock antlers in the living room. They knock each other unconscious. Now, I figured, is my chance. I grab the moose, strap him onto my fender, and shoot back to the roads, but - I got the Berkowiches. So I'm driving along with two Jewish people on my fender, and there's a law in New York State ... Tuesdays, Thursdays and especially Saturdays.

The following morning the Berkowiches wake up in the woods, in a moose suit. Mr. Berkowich is shot, stuffed and mounted - at the New York Athletic Club, and the joke is on them, because it's restricted.

Spanky_McFarksalot: "damn, did fark have this many negative biden links?"

No. Biden is a run-of-the-mill Senate time-server who has plagiarized some things but is most remarkable for his mediocrity. You can't have any scandals if you've never done anything. He has spent the better part of the last 36 years sitting in the Senate collecting paychecks while the national debt creeped up into the $10 trillion dollar range. There isn't much to say about Biden. He's a face-in-the-crowd, time clock-punching zero.

The tidal wave of venom directed at Palin is caused by sour grapes. Obama supporters thought everyone on Earth should have been worshipping at the Barackopolis for weeks after last Thursday night, and Palin's selection changed the subject. They are incensed that people forgot Obama's utterly forgettable speech so quickly. After all, THEY thought it was the cat's meow, the bee's knees. How DARE this woman take the spotlight off their hero?!?!

mcoctopus: This is a man who said Obama is not ready for presidency but now is willing to serve under him.

And Palin is a woman who praised Obama's energy plan and said, just two weeks ago, "Something's kind of changing here in Alaska, too, for being such a red state on the Presidential level. Obama's doing just fine in polls up here, which is kind of wigging people out, because they're saying, 'This hasn't happened for decades that in polls the D' "--the Democratic candidate--" 'is doing just fine.' To me, that's indicative, too. It's the no-more-status-quo, it's change."

So, what was your point?
