Actually, when they start an I.V., there is sometimes some air that gets into your veins. It's not enough to hurt you. But i thought that it was funny that he would think that shooting coke and cutting off your arm was much safer than a little air in your blood.

I believe it's 70 cc's. Which would be about 7 empty syringes of air, if I remember correctly. Up until that point the red blood cells just eat up the oxygen.

I once had to inject my own medicine into a catheter into my heart. I remember grabbing the wrong ones sometimes and forcing air into it and having to do reverse suction to bring it back out. Awesome times.

This is kind of tame for a night at Denny's.
