Obama/Democrats just finished their convention. It is not hard to understand that they'd be working internally at this point to get their message together and go into general election mode.

While I might not be watching a lot of youtube, I am going to an Obama/Biden speech tomorrow. :)

so, looking at that chart...

ever since the primaries really got under way, he's been winning by varying degrees, but consistently, the entire time. for a grand total of 3 days mccain took the lead. because mccain pulled out 3 days in the lead out of several months of tracking, obama is missing his web mojo?

i think the entire premise is stupid and pointless, but i don't think a few days worth of statistical outlier is cause for alarm.

It's because McCain has been putting up those bullshiat character-assassination vids that are getting such wide coverage. Even people who think he's a slimeball are watching them, if out of nothing more than curiosity.

My wife put it best today. We are huge Obama supporters but when he came on TV today she said "I know I'm going to vote for him. I'm okay without seeing another speech." So we turned the TV off, sent off another donation, and went on with the day.

Uhmmm...no. No talent wall. Many, many people are already sure of what they are going to do. There is absolutely nothing that could be said or done, short of Obama eating a jew baby on TV, that would make me vote McCain. Hell, even then I'd vote 3rd party.

Did the part about sending a donation seem like I meant it would go downhill?

Wow, what a horrible way to interpret that data. Yeah, for the week it may have looked like that, but if you look at the last few days, it's been climbing dramatically.

I'd rather be looking at the data within the month, because with weekly trends, a few days spike either way can make a huge difference, like it does here. If you look at it monthly, it makes much more sense (it shows McCain leading initially, but then dropping, while Obama is very steadily low, until the past week or so, and rises dramatically (because of the convention). So if you interpret it by the month, Obama hasn't had his mojo until the past week. And McCain was the one with the mojo, and has lost it.

Which seems very very strange. If McCain started out so hot in the beginning of the month, and dipped dramatically, and Obama has been steadily lower than McCain, then why did the polls show Obama dropping until he was tie with McCain going into the DNC? If it was to parallel the polls, then it should be the opposite... Obama should be the one that started out hot, and dropped, while McCain kept his low support.

I don't know what tubemogul is, so i don't know where their data actually comes from, but i'm not seeing a correlation between the data and actual polls, so perhaps it's a meaningless effect.

I meant his support is saturating. You are sold but he's finding it difficult to sell it to new people. You admitted as much that he's not expected to say anything new from now till Nov 4. His message is out there in complete and he said in all the ways he could. From here on it would be tedious repeats of "more of the same" and "he doesnt get it" from both Obama and Biden which could be tricky when it going to hit home stretch.

/Hope I'm making sense. I'm on 7th round.

It's because joe biden has been getting an insane amount of bullsh*t smears about his former stances regarding internet privacy and the RIAA.

He has, however, changed his stance on most of that - the ACLU gives him a 86% thumbs up as of 2008

And the Democrats go "this is not the 2nd amendment you're looking for"

The Dems, while better on civil liberties than the republicans, are hardly a shining example of freedom.

Name one type of freedom the Democrats are keeping your average typical American from. The only problem is they haven't managed to give everyone the freedom to be able to buy healthcare managed by their government.
